The Cleveland Guardians and San Francisco Giants clash in the series finale of a three-game set this afternoon at Oracle Park.

Logan Webb has pitched extremely well this season, and my Guardians vs. Giants predictions expect him to keep racking up the Ks.

Read more in my MLB picks for Thursday, June 19.

Guardians vs Giants prediction

My Guardians vs Giants best bet: Logan Webb Over 5.5 strikeouts (-140 at bet365)

Logan Webb, alongside Robbie Ray, has been brilliant at the top of the San Francisco Giants rotation. The veteran owns a 6-5 record and 2.58 ERA in 15 starts, holding opponents to a .243 average.

Most notably, he’s struck out 105 hitters in 94 1/3 innings of work. That will be my focus for today’s outing.

The righty has cashed the Over in Ks in three of his last four appearances for the Giants. While he had only four punchouts in his previous start against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Webb sat down 10 Atlanta Braves prior to that and seven San Diego Padres hitters before the Braves outing. He has elite stuff.

Webb’s whiff percentage sits at 26% this season, which is a career-best. He misses a lot of bats due to his wide array of pitches and, of course, velocity on his heater as well. Webb has faced a few hitters in this Cleveland Guardians lineup, collecting seven Ks in 24 at-bats.

Cleveland doesn’t strike out a ton (19th in the majors), but Webb has cashed the Over in punchouts in back-to-back starts at Oracle Park. He’ll keep the Guardians off balance in this afternoon’s rubber match.

Guardians vs Giants same-game parlay (SGP)

Logan Webb Over 5.5 strikeouts

Mike Yastrzemski Over 0.5 hits

Carlos Santana Over 0.5 hits

Mike Yastrzemski struggled through the first two months of the season, but he’s come alive in June. He’s hitting .351 this month, raising his average to .262.

In fact, Yaz has easily cashed the Over in hits in eight straight appearances. He has seven hits across his previous three games alone. Yastrzemski went 3-for-4 in the series opener against the Guardians and was also 2-for-3 in Wednesday’s loss.

On top of that, he’s 2-for-3 lifetime against Gavin Williams, whom Cleveland sends to the hill for today’s matchup.

Shifting over to the Guards, Carlos Santana has a track record of success against Webb. He’s also 2-for-3 lifetime versus the right-hander with a pair of base knocks.

The 39-year-old has cashed the Over in hits in four of his last six games and he tends to perform better offensively in day games, batting .266.
