MLB Player Props & Best Bets Today for June 19: Turn the Pages

Andy Pages has been a machine in the heart of the Dodgers lineup and will once again cash in a run as he squares up against the Padres and right-hander Ryan Bergert.

The MLB playoff race is heating up, and today’s slate will tell us more about some of those contenders.

I’m particularly dialed into the top of the NL East for my MLB player props, as the New York Mets try to snap a five-game losing streak and the Philadelphia Phillies aim to keep the pressure on their rivals. But Andy Pages and the Los Angeles Dodgers are set up for success against the San Diego Padres.

Read on for my Top 3 MLB picks — all focused on the night games on Thursday, June 19.

MLB props for June 19

Alec Bohm Over 1.5 total bases (+115 at Caesars)

Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm has forced his way up the order with his lights-out numbers this month. Bohm did it again last night, with a 3-for-4 effort at the plate that pushed his June batting average up to .365.

That’s a good sign for the Phillies as they wrap up their series with the Miami Marlins, and I like the Over on 1.5 bases for their in-form slugger.

Bohm has served up 16 hits across his past nine contests and, though he’s just 1-for-8 in his career against Miami starter Edward Cabrera, the stage is set for more fireworks. He’s been a dominant force on the road, too, with his average climbing to .303 away from Citizens Bank Park.

Cabrera only lasted three innings in his last start, and I expect Bohm, who’s notched four career doubles in matchups with the Marlins, to pounce on any mistakes.

Clay Holmes Under 2.5 earned runs (-125 at bet365)

Clay Holmes couldn’t have dreamt up a much better beginning to life with the New York Mets, and he’s on a roll heading into tonight’s clash with the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park.

Being counted on as a starter for the first time since 2018, Holmes has posted a 7-3 record to go with a stingy 2.87 ERA, and I’m buying into that consistency. He’s hit the Under on this earned runs number in four of his past five outings, including five strong innings last Friday, which yielded just three hits and a single run.

It also helps that the Atlanta hitters have seen very little of Holmes. No Braves batter has logged more than six at-bats against the Mets righty, and that’s the kind of mystery that should keep the hosts off balance.

Andy Pages Over 0.5 RBI (+140 at bet365)

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andy Pages is on a five-game hitting streak, headlined by a 4-for-4 effort earlier in this series against the San Diego Padres. That masterpiece included two homers, and I like this price for the centerfielder to drive in another run tonight.

With a 1.069 OPS, it’s no surprise that Pages has racked up 14 RBIs so far in June, while hitting .361, and he stands out as a tricky matchup for San Diego rookie Ryan Bergert, who has given up two home runs in three starts since moving over from the bullpen.

Meanwhile, Pages has clubbed 37 of his 50 RBI against righties, as well as 12 of his 15 dingers.
