2026 Preakness Stakes predictions
Preakness best bet: Silent Tactic (+4000 at FanDuel)
Silent Tactic was forced to scratch from the Kentucky Derby with a foot issue, but trainer Mark Casse is hopeful that this son of Tacitus can make the Preakness instead.
He had the lead in the stretch of the Arkansas Derby before getting caught by Renegade. We've seen plenty of Derby runners bypass the Preakness in recent years, including 2025 Derby winner Sovereignty.
The Southwest Stakes winner could take advantage of that at a nice price.
