According to the Seattle Times, the statue was up for sale in 1995 ( 150,000 US dollars), with the proceeds scheduled to benefit a local arts organization, but no buyer came forward.
The statue was originally brought to Seattle by Lewis Carpenter, a Washington resident who saved it from the scrapyards of Poprad, Slovakia

Before going to bed on Monday night, President Trump retweeted an alt-right activist who has promoted numerous conspiracy theories.
When he woke up, the president retweeted a cartoon showing a man labeled "CNN" being hit by a train labeled "Trump." Within minutes, he deleted it, perhaps realizing that the meme portrayed vehicular homicide just three days after an alleged vehicular homicide in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The "divide and conquer" in America is expanding like never before and Civil War is about 1 minute to midnight.

I'm happy to have an honest man in the white house who will tell you how he feels. President Trump is a breath of fresh air.
The previous president, however, acted like he was a normal everyday guy He said he understood how the middle and lower classes struggled to pay their bills. He couldn't be further from the imaged he portrayed. Since he has entered back into his private life, is he in Chicago, trying to help people in need or is he partying with billionaires on their private islands.

LRM, ANY President that serves our country deserves to live their life as they choose. Some like Carter devote their life to being actively involved in making life better for others. Some like Bush are comfortable relaxing at home on his ranch. Obama also has that right to live his life as he chooses.
