We're In Business - Brier Lines are up

Time to draw this week to a close. Again, I tip my hats to the Northern Ontario team for a great week. They unseeded one of the fab four and look like a team to fear in the years ahead.

Short and sweet, I am on Ontario tonight rather large straight up at -175. I have also taken them 1.5 to a much lesser degree and I am on the over 12.5 tonight, with a sprinkle on the 13.5 over. Interesting how that total started at 12.5, went up to 13.5 and is now down to 13. Some incredible middles to be had, if you had the patience to wait out the lines.

 

For the game tonight, I just feel postion by position, Ontario is the stronger team. They have the experience and I just don't see Howard having a few tough ends like he did Friday. I think Koe himself has been great, but I am expecting and betting on the fact that the middle of the line up for Ontario, will outplay the Rycroft and MacDonald for the Alberta lineup. I do think Koe hangs with him through out and can see a 8-6, 7-6 score along those lines. Enjoy.

 

Tough weekend beam, but still a great brier for you. Looks like it was actually MacDonald that outplayed Hart and that proved to be the difference.

I think Canada, is going to win the Worlds. To me her only real threat is China and they certainly didn't look the threat they did last in, this past Olympics. Canada is playing on home soil, which means great ice and Jen has a chance to seek revenge vs China from last year. I am all over Canada to win the Worlds at +120.

On all over opening draw, but CDN and Russia game. On Canada -1.5, Den, Russia, Germ and Norway. Last two are value plays

Made +.6 units on the opening draw.

 

On Can -1.5 and the under. Real big on the -1.5. Also on the remaining games over, along with Latvia +1.5, Japan, and Norway

Right on... women's curling...the Swedish team was fun to watch!

Thinking Scotland -139 over Germany tomorrow morning? Any thoughts?

Denmark has had a horrible run, but I'm not sure China should be favoured as much as they are for tomorrow.

Yep, Muirhead is 4-1 against her all time, so I think that is the play.

Played both games over this morning, along with Scotland and China -1.5. I agree that China is overvalued, but she has dominated Denmark in their head to head matches, so I gave it a go.

For this afternoon on Canada -1.5 + the over, Japan to win and the over (big), the Norway/Sweden game over (big) and the States/Latvia game under. I also made a small +1.5 play on Norway and Latvia.

USA -1.5  -220 looks like a play...Latvia is not very good, think the juice is okay for this match up.  Swe/Nor O12.5  -130

That is a lot of juice on the States. Not saying it won't come in, but if I think there is going to be a blow out, I would probably play the under instead and look for an early quit. Really like the Sweden and Norway over.

They have tossed up some 2.5 lines for the States and Canada. Ang was right, China getting it put to them by Denmark at the moment.

Yes...I had a little on Denmark ML (thanks Ang) but lost on the Scots...on USA -2.5 and the Nor/Swe over for the midday draw.

That was a nice surprise to wake up to this morning seeing Sweden hit that four spot.

For those who didn't see it, when Sweden had three shots left (yes, 3), they had a grand total of zero (yes, ZERO) rocks in the rings.

And they still scored 4.

That I would have loved to have seen. Thank heavens my girl Meg from Japan, does not like to give up. Despite shooting a miraculous 43% at the time and down 9-2, she forges on for one more end and gives up a steal of two, not only to drop her shooting percentage to 41%, but give us our over.         Meg + Over 12.5 = found money. 11-2 to the over, between the Olympics and the World's. Hmmm....wonder what I am playing on this afternoon when they play Sweden.
