Wow.... Ontario opened at 1.85-ish on Pinnacle and already down to 1.556. Glad I got on early. Bet365 still has them at 1.76.

Nova Scota 4 units to win.8.4.

Ont/Alb under 12.5, 2.5 units to win 2.8

Sask/NS over 12.5, 3.48 unist to win 3.

Nfl/Que over 12.5, 2 units to win 1.8

BC -1.5, 1,5 units to win 1.95

Ont/BC parlay 5 units to win 5.7

Really like the home town team, to win their last game, after Sask losing a heartbreaker.

How is Alta/Ont not on TV?

Nfld battling to make the playoffs was (I guess) the better game to show though I wouldn't have disagreed with Ont/AB too.

I hope AB isn't getting any big ideas with that steal of 3... time to lay down boys and let Ont go 11-0.

Nice evening Gmar up 5 units is a nice night. Nova Scotia winning at the end, was a great way to cap the week. 43-31 +53.45 units.

Now we await the playoffs. Battle of Ontario tomorrow night. Interested to see how the kids hold up, they have been playing terrific the last few days.

Hope the total stays at 12.5, then I might pound the OVER. Don't see either team conceding early in such an important game.

In Draw 3, they combined for 13 in a 9-4 victory for Ontario. The kids from the North have been playing much better lately. This game should be closer than the first. Although I shouldn't count out Howard's experience...

N.Ontario has played well, but Ontario plain and simple is just on another level, so I have no problem laying this. We all know anything can happen, but I was expecting Ontario to be more expensive than this.

I bet Ontario as well. 

Well, NL would have to win 3 straight games against 3 very good teams (none of which they beat during the round robin) all without the hammer. It's a longshot for a reason. Down to +1400 though...

I missed out on Ontario -1.5. Not sure I want to lay -2.5...

I got it @ 16-1 on NL, I know it'll be tough, but you never know, lol. They won't even let you bet on it anymore, they took it off. 

Damn... I guess sleeping in for once this week because there wasn't any early draws (6:30am out west) is going to cost me. Ontario now -480 on Pinnacle, or -2.5 at -145.

Might be decent value now in NOnt +2.5 at +124.

The over is also at -140 now, but still might have to play that one and maybe put projected winnings on Ontario ML, even at that steep price.

Looking back at the last 3 Briers, using a 12.5 total line, you would have 9 overs and 3 unders. Interesting that of the 12 playoff games,  6 of them were one point wins and 4 of them were 4 point or more wins. Seems to either be a nail biter or a blow out. I am not surprise that line has gone up this much, but that is pretty expensive for Ontario having to win by 3 points and paying -158 for it.

I jumped in on 1.2 unit for New Founland to win it all at +1400. A long shot for sure, but he has a lot of playoff experience so I didn't mind taking a stab.

I am watching the 10th end, thinking there is no way I am kicking home my -1.5 bet on Ontario, after Saville makes two great tick shots. The end of the game was very similar to a Murdoch game in the Olympic trials vs the U.S. where the only way you can win the bet is if the opposing skip can get enough of the rock around a corner guard, that Ontario had to throw quiet weight to get it out and stick in the rings. Sure enough they did and the freeze attempt from N.O was just a little wide, setting up the hit for the deuce. Very lucky.

 

I am intrigued to see how Northern Ontario plays tomorrow after such a heartbreaking loss. Those kids have done themselves very proud, regardless of what happens tomorrow. Await the pending Alb/NFl line for tomorrow morning.

I figure the game today is close to a pick'em, with maybe a very slight edge to Alberta. The lines on Pinny reflect this, they don't at 365, where NFL is a bigger dog. I don't mind playing the dog with Gushue's experience at the Brier, should be a very even game.

NFL at +138, 3.5 units to win 4.8. Over 12.5, 8.8 units to win 6.5

I thought the same thing Beam. Set my alarm, got up early to check out the lines. Took Nfld +114 at Pinnacle for 2 units and the Over 12.5 for 4 units.

Was too lazy to check out bet365 with my iPhone in bed as their lines have usually been worse for both the fave and dogs.

Down 5-3 going into the 9th we're going to need some help to get either result.

Northern Ontario getting no respect...

Well the over was pretty much cooked when Gushue had a chance to split the house for a deuce and make it 4-3 three at the break but Nichols couldn't get the roll and Koe made a nice double. Koe also made a nice draw to the button for the game.

I'm with Ang, N.O at +200 and getting the hammer in the first end, is too good to pass up. Again I give a slight edge to Alberta in this game but at this price, I am on N.O. As for the total with both of these skips preferring to hit, I am thinking that maybe their game plan is a little more conservative and going to ride the under.

N.O. +1.5,2,5 units to win 2.5 and straight up 1 unit to win 2.1. Under 12.5, 3 units to win 3.4

Rough day yesterday. I probably would have hit the under had the game not been televised, as I am sure N.O. would have packed it in, but I know they have to play eight ends, and well there you have it. Playoffs a dismal 2-5 so far -4.1 units.

365 line is out -175 on Ontario and +125 on Alberta. I thought that Ontario would have been slightly higher maybe about -190 or so.

Got in on the over 12.5, at -127 and -150. They have now set it at -13.5, tempting to throw some back and try and middle this.
