Knowshon Moreno not starting means nothing...against Tech he was shut down so they gave the ball to brown who did fairly well and was the starter anyhow to start the season...
 
Somehow I knew a Fresno State win would make the Hawaii backers think that meant something in the grand scheme of this game. If Fresno winning means so much than obviosly Boise and Nevada losing should mean something too right??
 
This Hawaii offense is no different than that of Texas Tech for the last couple of years...and what happens every time that TT plays the big boys such as Oklahoma and Texas...(not this year)...they get totally out classed and ran off the field...
 
Georgia defense is their achilles heel this year...normally they shut everyone out and the offense has to do just enough to get the win. This year they have to outshoot everyone b/c their db's are young and they get absolutely no pressure on the QB. However...that's been against teams such as South Carolina, Tenneseee, Auburn, and Florida...who I'm pretty sure have the supposed "best recruits" every year. The average teams such as Oklahoma State get outmanned and pushed around...
 
I am from Georgia (but I hate the bulldogs), and am a huge SEC homer...but with my feelings aside...I feel very comfortable laying the 8 pts and putting a fairly large amount on it!!! Just don't think Hawaii can keep GA out of th endzone enough..and UGA will get some stops to pull away starting the 2nd half....
 
My original score was pretty high...now i'm thinking 48-28 dawgs!!!

I have seen about 8 or 9 Hawaii games this season and no doubt they have a good offense, but playing one of the three easiest schedules in football might have a little something to do with that.  I mean most teams would have pretty good offensive numbers if they played “sisters of the poor” type colleges every other week.

 

I’m not ripping on Hawaii.  Its not their fault no one wants to play them.  They tried to schedule harder teams.   But why would anyone WANT to play them?  I mean look at Ohio State’s schedule and they are playing in the title game.

 

This is a Georgia team that is definitely battletested.  Is Hawaii?

 

It will be interesting to see how this high-octane offense does against probably the best defense they have seen in years and without the benefit of having the opposing team just off an 8+ hour flight or having the kickoff at midnight eastern time.

good point shooter time zone is a big adjustment and yes the sec and georgia have a good D but i like hawaii the win this game colt brenan looks to build his resume so he can be taken high in the nfl draft so u know hes gonna play his heart out     wac player of the year sevral NCAA records including about 20 hawaii passing records    and now a BCS victory culd make him top 5 pick  so u know hes gonna gun that ball to those receivers all night long

I'm sorry to all my Hawaii buddies who are looking forward to this game so much.. I don't even like UGA, I live in GA and don't care for them, but I honestly don't see Hawaii standing a snowflakes chance in hell with this game. GA is too strong for them and should dominate the first half at least before Hawaii can even adjust to the power game. You just can't win a game against GA if you are so one dimensional like Hawaii is. GA will run run run down Hawaii's throat and pressure the hell out of Colt, who I'm guessing will get injured this game. (sorry)

I played UGA -4.5 1st half for 500
Will wait to see how I do in the A.M. before I pull the trigger on the game as well.

Besides what I have already stated I know in my mind that Hawaii is up against a very tough Georgia team and there is no doubt about that.

One of the factors involved in this game IMO is where it is being played. This game is in a dome so there is no cold weather nor any type of weather condition to effect the Hawaii passing game except probably coming out flat to start with in this one.

Our PK proved to Nevada twice that he can kick a field goal under pressure and in fairly cold conditions to Hawaii taste. Once when he kicked it through but a timeout was called and another right after that timeout and if I'm not mistaken it was from about 50 plus yards.

Hawaii WR's calls their own audible on their routes without any signals and Brennan knows where to just throw it to them. That is another advantage for Hawaii's offense.

Don't get me wrong I'm not knocking Georgia I'm just saying I doubt that Hawaii will just settle for being here they are serious about winning this thing outright.

Up late Big D, Oahu is smoking like a mofo.  All the illegals were out tonight.  Watching them explode was like watching most of my bets today go up in smoke today
 
I see a lot of shovel passes today to offset that Georgia D-line speed.  Maybe Wright-Jackson will be able to display some of that speed.  GO WARRIORS!

Hawaii played second easiest schedule in the country. UGA beat six bowl teams. End of discussion. Must grow some potent herb on the island;afraid it's compromised some of your logical thought processes.CB will be spending alot of time looking up at the dome ceiling. What D have they played worth a damn? None. What do u think Staffords numbers would be agst.that schedule?
  UGA will wear down in second half,eat up clock and cover 7 easily.Should be a great game to watch. Happy New Year and GLTA!

Hawaii +9 (3 units) vs. Georgia - well the current line is 7.5 but I bet this over 2 weeks ago when it was still at 9, you can buy it back up if you want.  In my mind I still have engraved the Hawaii/Boise game and how sweet the Warriors offense looked.  They run really quick, precise routes and we all know Colt Brennan is a sweet QB.  The Bulldog secondary will need to step up today and look for them to play some zone.  They'll try to blitz pressure as well but the Warrior O-line is big and nasty, Brennan can even run out of the pocket if he needs to.  Everyone keeps talking about Knowshon Moreno, but honestly I'm not that impressed, he is still a year away from stardom and possibly the Heisman.  I would much rather watch Mendenhall from Illinois (who is almost never talked about) over Moreno (who I cant get away from hearing).  Hawaii needs this win for a share of the Title, it'll be awfully hard for the committee to ignore an undefeated team if they win.

colt brennan is a product of a system just like andre ware and david klinger were and will never amount to anything in the nfl.his being at the hiesmen award was a joke.the schedule hawaii plays amounts to a good high school schedule compared to what georgia plays,c'mon a WAC team vs a SEC team any day of the year SEC will win and cover
