Canada faces its toughest test of the 2026 World Cup when it meets Morocco in the Round of 16 on Saturday, July 4, at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.

Morocco remains the deserving favorite on the latest World Cup odds board, but my Canada vs. Morocco predictions see value on the underdog. Canada have already handled pressure and have an offense that's creating plenty of quality chances.

With a quarterfinal spot on the line and the World Cup bracket beginning to narrow, my World Cup picks are backing Canada to push Morocco deep into another low-scoring knockout fight.

 TOP PICK
Who will win Canada vs Morocco: Canada to advance (+240)

Canada will need its best performance of the tournament to beat Morocco, but this isn't some blind patriot play. There are real reasons to like the upset.

Canada has already had to win ugly, defend for long stretches, and handle pressure throughout this tournament. Those experiences matter in knockout soccer. Morocco, meanwhile, just played 120 draining minutes against the Netherlands before surviving in a penalty shootout. That's a lot of soccer in a short amount of time.

Canada also has more firepower than this price suggests. The Canadians have produced seven or more shots on target in three of their four matches, and the return of Alphonso Davies gives Jesse Marsch another dangerous weapon, whether he starts or comes off the bench.

Morocco is the deserved favorite, but it doesn't always put teams away when it has the chance. If Canada stays organized early and finds opportunities to attack in transition, it'll have every chance to make this a one-goal game late.

This market is "to advance/qualify" and is playable to +220.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Canada's underlying attacking numbers are elite. Through four matches, the Canadians rank second in shots on target and third in attempts from inside the penalty area, suggesting this offense is creating quality opportunities rather than relying on low-percentage efforts.

Canada vs Morocco Over/Under pick: Under 2.5 (-161)

This has knockout tension written all over it.

Morocco are comfortable playing controlled, tactical matches, and that showed again in their Round of 32 battle with the Netherlands. They’re hard to break down, but they also don’t always turn good spells into separation.

Canada, meanwhile, have become far more comfortable managing game state. They can attack in moments, but they don’t need to make this wide open, especially against a Morocco team that can punish mistakes in transition.

The trends back the script: Morocco have gone Under 2.5 in five of their last six World Cup matches, while Canada are 11-3 to the Under across their last 14 in all competitions.

Playable to -170.

 TOp pick

Canada vs Morocco goal scorer pick: Jonathan David (+373)

Jonathan David has grown into this tournament, and his hat trick against Qatar should only add to his confidence heading into the knockout stage.

Canada's all-time leading scorer remains the focal point of Jesse Marsch's attack, whether that's stretching the back line with intelligent runs or finding space inside the penalty area.

Morocco will likely control long stretches of possession, but that could actually suit David's game by creating transition opportunities where he thrives.

If Canada is going to spring the upset, it's difficult to picture it happening without David playing a starring role, making him my favorite anytime goalscorer bet.
