Mitch Keller owns an abysmal 8.72 ERA and has allowed at least three runs in eight of nine starts when facing teams that slot Top-10 in OPS vs. right-handed pitching.

Gerrit Cole has not looked sharp, and that’s been problematic at home. He has allowed 1.91 homers per nine innings in New York.

Mitch Keller owns a 6.0 ERA over the last month and his 6.47 xERA suggests that is deserved.

The New York Yankees rank eighth in homers, and seventh in ISO, against righties in July. They are not a team Keller wants to see, especially at Yankee Stadium.

After backing Jacob Wilson at +1140, I'm like a vampire with a thirst for 10/1 home runs or better, and Dean Kremer at Fenway with the wind blowing out is my next target. I'm playing this down to +750 in the first game of a doubleheader, where Kremer could be asked to eat innings. Kremer currently owns the worst HR/FB rate among qualified MLB starters and the third-worst HR/9. He's already surrendered nine home runs in just 26 innings, with left-handed hitters doing most of the damage. Masataka Yoshida is one of only two Red Sox with an OPS north of 1.000 over the last 30 days and ranks near the top of the club in most offensive categories. He isn't known as a prolific home run hitter, but he's in the middle of a nice power surge with two homers and a .351 average over his last 10 games. The matchup and the setting are there today to take a shot at a massive price.

14. Straight. Wins.

Abreu has six hits, four homers, a double, and seven RBIs in his last four games, culminating in an astounding 19 bases. Rafaela has at least a hit and a run scored in five straight, totalling 14 HRR.

The team's two best hitters in 2026 are on fire, and the last time the Sox were on this big of a heater, a guy named Ted Williams was in the midst of securing an MVP in his first season back from military service.

This is another pitcher who gets hit hard, but his home splits are in his favor, and he might catch a low-motivated Giants lineup today. San Francisco is wrapping up a two-series road trip with the All-Star break in the middle and heads home from Kansas City to start a series against the Angels on Friday. That makes this an interleague getaway spot, and the Giants have already dropped four straight games while scoring just 11 runs during the losing streak. Seth Lugo gets this lineup at the best possible time. Since the break, this lineup owns a 29.3% K rate, which ranks fifth-highest in baseball. THE BAT projects 4.97 strikeouts on 92 pitches, putting the fair price around -125/-130. Six innings and five strikeouts is a realistic outlook.

Two bad teams square off here, but I'll take the team with the pitching advantage in this matchup. Landen Roupp has strikeout power, and he's been dialed in of late, pitching 15 innings across his last two starts, giving up one run on five hits. The Royals, while they've won two straight, are still in the bottom half in terms of runs and power. Roupp delivers another gem.

I think Merrill Kelly is one of the worst starters in baseball, but this is simply too small a strikeout total at home against a getaway Athletics lineup, especially with the market moving toward the Over. Kelly is one of the hardest-hit pitchers in baseball, but his strikeout numbers at home have been much better than on the road. He has 32 strikeouts over 37 home innings compared to just 30 punchouts in 61 road frames. He is also 6-1 to the Over on this prop at home this season and has recorded at least three strikeouts in each of his seven home starts. The Athletics are heading to Minnesota to open a series Friday, so there's a chance this turns into a mail-in game. They also struck out five times in five innings against MLB debutant Kohl Drake yesterday, who doesn't project as a high-strikeout pitcher. THE BAT projects Kelly for 4.03 strikeouts, making the fair price closer to -130/-135.

How about some damn respect for Jacob Wilson, who has gone deep three times over his last four games and cashed a monster ticket last night at +1140. The Athletics' leadoff man has seen at least five plate appearances in each game during this heater and is riding a nine-game hitting streak, batting .421 with a .721 slugging percentage and six multi-hit performances. The matchup is in his favor again today against Merrill Kelly, who has been one of the hardest-hit pitchers in baseball this season. Kelly owns the worst BlastContact% of any starter on today's slate and ranks among the bottom 50 in both HR/FB and HR/9. He has also been far more vulnerable at home, posting a 6.69 ERA compared to a 4.28 mark on the road. Since the start of 2024, his HR/9 is also 0.4 higher at home. I'm riding the Wilson train until this price drops. I'd play this dinger down to +800 today.

I'd go all the way down to +500 on this one. Reid Detmers is at 10.2 K/9 innings after fanning seven Tigers last time out, and the Cardinals have had some swing-and-miss in their bats of late (seventh-most in July). Nolan Schanuel is red-hot in July (.404 average) and has been lethal vs. righties like Hunter Dobbins all year long (.304). A massive bullpen advantage in the xFIP department over the last two weeks (Angels first at 2.68, Cardinals 20th at 4.52) makes the L.A. moneyline a solid addition.

Aaron Nola might be the biggest pitcher fade on the board, and his Over 2.5 earned run prop is moving for good reason. His numbers fell off a cliff last year, but this season is showing that it wasn't just a one-year blip. The walks are up, and his HR/9 has climbed from 1.35 two seasons ago to 2.01 this year, which is the second-highest mark among qualified starters. He's also giving up more fly balls than ever with a 39.8% groundball rate, and hitters are barreling him on more than 25% of swings, ranking in the bottom 20 among starters. The Dodgers have a great get-right spot today, and there are plenty of bats in that lineup with a ton of history against Nola. THE BAT projects Nola for 3.3 earned runs allowed, the fourth-highest mark among starters on today's slate, with a fair price of -155. However, because he isn't expected to work deep, the Dodgers F5 team total Over 2.5 is a great pivot if the price moves past -125.

Citizens Bank Park still ranks as the No. 2 home run park on today's slate, according to Ball Park Pal, despite a slight wind blowing in. That's great news for the Dodgers' bats against Aaron Nola, who has been one of the more home run-prone pitchers in baseball this season. He served up three homers in his last start on the 16th and has allowed multiple home runs in five of his last seven outings. Only Tommy Edman owns a better OPS than Freddie Freeman over the last 30 days in the Dodgers' clubhouse, and Freeman has plenty of history against Nola with 76 career at-bats. Nola has gotten the better of him over the years with a .237 average and just two home runs allowed, but this version of the Phillies' right-hander is the most vulnerable Freeman has ever faced. Almost the entire Dodgers lineup projects as +EV to go deep today, but Freeman at +370 or better is where I'm landing. It also helps that the Phillies have just one available lefty in the bullpen.

My projection lands at 9.6 total runs, so this is a very small edge, but at the plus-money price, I'll go that direction and play it to -105. Neither starter is built to fully shut this down and I'd be suprised if they did. For example, Chandler’s 13% walk rate creates free traffic in Yankee Stadium, while Warren’s recent form leaves the Buccos with a real scoring path. Ultimately, I do not need Pittsburgh to dominate Warren; we just need them to contribute enough. I think there’s plenty of power in the lineup to do that.

I’m backing the Pittsburgh Pirates because this price is too long for a game my projection makes close to a coin flip. I’d play it to +110. Bubba Chandler’s command is uncomfortable, but his top-30 percentile barrel rate allowed should matter against a homer-dependent New York Yankees lineup. The gap is not wide enough to justify this moneyline. I have faded Will Warren plenty this season. He is not a bad pitcher, but the market keeps overvaluing him. His xERA sits near 5, and his below-average barrel profile meets a Pirates lineup with the eighth-highest barrel rate in baseball.

Toronto can't score coming out of the break, and the offense has been one of the worst in baseball all season, ranking dead last in wOBA, ISO, and runs scored while sitting in the bottom five in nearly every other offensive category. Braydon Fisher will open the game before handing things off to Spencer Miles, who is coming off a six-run outing against the White Sox last Friday. This is a defeated Toronto lineup getting nothing from its biggest bats, with Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Dalton Varsho, and Kazuma Okamoto combining to hit just .186 over the last two weeks. I can't see how a bullpen game against the Rays — a team that has won seven of the last eight meetings — makes Toronto the favorite. Griffin Jax already faced the Jays once this season and needed just 66 pitches to throw five shutout innings. This is a low point for the Blue Jays, and this is an offense worth fading after scoring just eight runs through five games since the All-Star break.

The Cardinals are in a premium offensive spot against Zac Gallen, who enters the day with the second-worst pitcher rating in Batters-Box's current season model. St. Louis has been one of the hotter offenses in baseball recently, producing a 122 wRC+, .782 OPS, and .345 wOBA over its last 12 games. With Gallen's struggles and the Cardinals continuing to swing hot bats, this sets up as an excellent spot to back St. Louis early and often.

Okamoto's hitting profile perfectly matches up well against Imanaga’s stuff. The Cubs starter throws a heavy dose of the fastball and gets barreled up at a 10.4% rate. The Jays third baseman barrels the ball better than anyone in the Blue Jays lineup with a 13.5% barrel rate, while owning a 63.2% hard hit rate against the four-seamer.

Swanson is just 1-for-6 against Cease in his career. Cease has electric stuff, leading the American League with 110 Ks, while ranking in the 97th percentile in K-rate. Springer is turning a corner with a 1.089 OPS over his last nine games.

Atlanta and Chicago send two of the best lineups in baseball to the dish, and they respectively rank eighth and third in wOBA against lefties for the campaign. The two clubs have also trended to the Over, and I'm particularly expecting White Sox southpaw Anthony Kay to struggle considering he's saddled with the fifth-highest xERA in baseball among the 100 pitchers with at least 60 innings this year.

I'm fading Chicago White Sox lefty Anthony Kay on Thursday. He's sporting the fifth-highest xERA among the 100 pitchers with at least 60 innings, after all. Plus, the Atlanta Braves enter ranked eighth in wOBA against southpaws for the season and sixth in overall xwOBA across the past 14 days.

The Yankees rank Top-3 in OPS, ISO, OBP, xWOBA, and hard hit rate when facing left-handed pitching. The Red Sox have hit righties very well over the past four weeks, sitting ninth in wOBA, ninth in ISO, and fourth in batting average. Play the Over to -120.

Ranger Suarez has started four games against teams ranking Top-10 in OPS vs. left-handed pitching, allowing 13 runs and posting a 6.13 ERA during those games. The New York Yankees lead the majors in OPS against lefties so they’re a prime candidate to cause Suarez problems. Playable to -145.

The Giants are pacing the majors in wOBA and are fourth in xwOBA while averaging 5.5 runs per game across the past 30 days, and the Braves ranks ninth in wOBA against right-handed pitchers and third in overall xwOBA, so I think this total is too low.

The Braves have dropped five of six while averaging just 2.8 runs per game and ranking 29th in wOBA without Ronald Acuna Jr. (hamstring), and it’s been a smoke-and-mirrors start for veteran lefty Martin Perez, and there’s serious statistical correction ahead of his .230 BABIP and 80.2% strand rate considering they’re both high-end marks about pitchers with at least 60 innings this season. San Francisco is just the offense to kick-start the regression, too. The Giants are pacing the majors in wOBA and fourth in xwOBA over the past 30 days, after all.
