Liverpool haven't lost a home league game to Arsenal since 2012, but can the champions end that streak? Our picks target a draw and plenty of goals at Anfield.

Liverpool vs Arsenal predictions

My Liverpool vs Arsenal top pick: Draw (28% probability)

Arsenal may be the reigning Premier League champions, but that alone isn't enough to back them at Anfield. The Gunners haven't won a league game there since 2012, with Liverpool unbeaten in their last 13 home league meetings (8W-5D-0L).

Draws have become increasingly common in this fixture, with three of the last four league meetings ending level. Liverpool have also drawn two of their four home league games this season (1W-2D-1L).

Arsenal are the better side on current form, as their six-point lead over Liverpool shows. But the Reds' formidable home record against the Gunners cannot be ignored.

The draw is my pick, playable up to 35%.

My Liverpool vs Arsenal Over/Under pick: Over 2.5 goals (52% probability)

The total is close to a pick'em, with the Over priced at 52% and the Under at 49% at the time of writing.

Both teams have recorded four Overs and four Unders in the league this season. Across their 16 combined matches, the average is just 2.31 goals per game.

The head-to-head record tells a different story. Eight of the last 10 meetings have featured at least three goals, averaging 3.7 per game.

Given how often these sides produce high-scoring encounters, I'm backing Over 2.5 goals, playable up to 57%.

Liverpool vs Arsenal combo

Draw

Both teams to score: Yes

A draw with both teams scoring offers a bigger payout than either selection alone. The combination covers 1-1, 2-2, 3-3 and even 4-4.

That last scoreline isn't entirely fanciful in the history of this fixture. Arsenal's Andrey Arshavin famously scored all four of his side's goals in a 4-4 draw at Anfield in April 2009.
