This summer’s biggest soccer tournament is just days away and England's Euro 2024 odds have them tabbed as favorites ahead of the likes of France and Germany.

Can Gareth Southgate get his tactics right and help the team return to the Finals and triumph in Germany?

I break down all the Euro 2024 odds as they pertain to England.

England expected starting XI for Euro 2024

  • Pickford; Walker, Stones, Guehi, Trippier; Rice, Alexander-Arnold; Saka, Bellingham, Foden; Kane

The biggest issue facing Gareth Southgate is the fitness of Luke Shaw, who is unlikely to feature until the end of the group stages or the start of knockouts. With Harry Maguire ruled out for injury, there’s also a battle to partner John Stones in the heart of the defense and it’s likely Marc Guehi claim that.

The position in midfield also isn’t certain but Trent Alexander-Arnold is arguably the frontrunner ahead of Conor Gallagher, who is likely Declan Rice’s backup. There’s also a chance that youngster Kobbie Main or Adam Wharton could steal the spot and both could have a huge impact from the bench or as starters later in the tournament.

England have attacking talent from the bench with Cole Palmer, a budding star who could also be a starter by the latter stages of the tournament, and Eberechi Eze, who can really add drive to the England midfield.

England best bet for Euro 2024

Bukayo Saka 2+ goals (-118 at Betano)

With all the talk around Cole Palmer who has broken out this season and Phil Foden who won player of the year, there’s been little talk of Bukayo Saka. The 22-year-old missed Arsenal’s final game of the season and England’s warm-up game against Bosnia but he can’t be forgotten. He will undoubtedly start for England if healthy and his electric pace, passing ability and threat in front of goal make him a hugely dangerous player.

He comes into this tournament on the back of an incredible season for Arsenal, hitting 20 goals in all competitions. He averaged 0.49 goals per 90 minutes played in the Premier League and averaged more than a shot on target in each game. He’s always done well in an England jersey too, with 11 goals in his 32 caps, including three in his four appearances for England at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
