Ottawa might be in deep trouble against Vegas on the road, so we're fading them in our Senators vs. Golden Knights predictions.
Who doesn't love ending the night with a win? That's exactly what we're going to do as the Ottawa Senators head to T-Mobile Arena to face the Vegas Golden Knights, who enter as 60% favorites at Novig. Puck drop is set for 10 p.m. ET.
Tap into my NHL picks for Tuesday, Oct. 27, and let's stay hot on the ice.
TOP PICK
Senators vs Golden Knights prediction: Golden Knights moneyline
Make no mistake, the Vegas Golden Knights boast one of the NHL’s most dangerous offenses, ranking second in expected goals for and ninth in high-danger shots at five-on-five.
That's bad news for the Ottawa Senators, who are expected to start Samuel Ersson (0-3, 4.59 GAA, .835 SV%) with Linus Ullmark likely sidelined for one to two weeks. Against an offense this potent, Ersson's early season struggles don't inspire much confidence in Ottawa's chances.
Ottawa will need to play a perfect, mistake-free hockey game in their own zone if they want to win, and I don't see it happening.
Play this up to 62%.

Senators vs Golden Knights combo
Mitch Marner at 55% to record an assist against one of the NHL's worst goaltenders? I'll bite.
Marner has dished out 10 assists in 11 games and returns tonight after a two-game absence due to the birth of his second child. With his role quarterbacking the top power-play unit, there's plenty to like about his chances of adding another helper.
Elsewhere, Fabian Zetterlund has seen his usage increase over the last two games and ranks second on the team in high-danger shot attempts. With a spot on the top line and more opportunities coming his way, I like his chances of finding the scoresheet tonight.
Senators vs Golden Knights combo
- Golden Knights moneyline
- Mitch Marner 1+ assists
- Fabian Zetterlund 1+ points
Senators vs Golden Knights player prop: Mitch Marner 1+ assists
Getting Marner at 55% to pick up an assist against one of the league's most vulnerable goaltenders is an opportunity I like; Marner has already racked up 10 helpers in 11 games.
As a primary playmaker on Vegas' top power-play unit with a 32% share of available ice time, Marner should have plenty of opportunities to add to his assist total.
His five primary assists and four power-play points rank second on the team behind Jack Eichel — we'll take that to the bank.
Senators vs Golden Knights goal scorer: Jack Eichel
At 35%, you have to love Jack Eichel to find the back of the net tonight. He leads Vegas in expected goals at five on five and is second on the team in high-danger shot attempts.
The offense funnels through Eichel, and against an undisciplined team like Ottawa, which averages close to 12 penalty minutes per game, I'm expecting him to do damage.
