San Antonio is a massive home favorite, but Geoff Clark is fading the rising total while targeting a combo built around Darius Acuff Jr. and Julian Champagnie.

The Kings vs. Spurs prediction centers on whether San Antonio can justify an 18.5-point spread without pushing Tuesday’s total past 231.5.

Tip off is 8 p.m. ET at Frost Bank Center, where San Antonio's lockdown defense faces a Sacramento team with the NBA’s worst shot profile.

 TOP PICK
Kings vs Spurs prediction: Under 231.5

I'm fading the market and taking the Under 231.5, down to 229.5, which has been steamed up from the 229.5 opener at Polymarket.

The San Antonio Spurs are laying 18.5 points, and as I always say, blowouts are where Overs go to die. Since 2025, the Spurs are 28-16 to the Under when winning regular-season games by 10+ points.

San Antonio also hosts the Sacramento Kings before traveling to Utah Wednesday, so Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson has every reason to empty the bench if this gets out of hand.

Also, San Antonio ranks 23rd in true shooting rate, and Sacramento is 24th. They both protect the ball well, and turnovers lead to easy points on the other end of the floor.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Per CleaningTheGlass, the Kings have the worst shot profile in the NBA: they lead the league in mid-range 2-point attempts and rank last in field-goal attempts at the rim.

Kings vs Spurs combo

Moving forward, I'm only risking a quarter-unit (0.25u) on these combos because they have bigger payouts, hence, are less likely to cash.

Both player props can cash without threatening the Under. Sacramento rookie PG Darius Acuff Jr. can still get his 20 because Sacramento is letting him fire away, even if the Kings struggle offensively.

San Antonio backup wing Julian Champagnie doesn’t need a shootout either. He just needs enough clean looks from deep, and a blowout could actually keep him on the floor longer.

That’s the script: San Antonio controls the game, Acuff soaks up usage for Sacramento, and Champagnie gets loose from deep once the rotations open up.

Kings vs Spurs combo

  • Under 231.5
  • Darius Acuff Jr. 20+ points
  • Julian Champagnie 3+ made threes

Kings vs Spurs player props

Kings player prop: Darius Acuff Jr. 20+ points

I'd entertain Darius Acuff Jr.'s 20+ points prop up to 60% because apparently this kid has an unlimited shooting clip.

Acuff leads the Kings in usage rate and field goal attempts per game. He averages 22.3 points and has scored at least 20 in two of his three games. Acuff is only shooting 32.9% from the field (14.8% from 3-point range).

However, with his volume, Acuff should easily clear 20 points if he is shooting well. Zach LaVine and Domantas Sabonis are good enough offensive players, so San Antonio can't sell out to stop Acuff, even if that were a priority.

Spurs player prop: Julian Champagnie 3+ made threes

Julian Champagnie's 3+ made threes prop is playable up to 43%.

He is sixth in minutes per game for the Spurs and should still get plenty of run, even if Johnson sits the starters in a blowout. Champagnie's 3-point attempt rate is 85.7%, so nearly all of his offense comes from behind the arc.

Furthermore, Sacramento ranks 25th in 3-point attempts allowed per game, while surrendering the third-highest volume of wide-open threes.

If Champagnie gets his normal minutes, the shot volume should be there. And if this turns into garbage time, that might actually help.
