Artemi Panarin is the Los Angeles Kings' leading shot-generator (53%) and will have plenty of opportunities to shoot against a Bottom 5 shot-suppression team.
My Kings vs. Blackhawks prediction and NHL picks for Tuesday, Oct. 27, back the winger to register at least three shots tonight.
Kings vs Blackhawks prediction: Blackhawks moneyline
I like the Chicago Blackhawks to 52%.
The Los Angeles Kings have allowed a healthy 30.4 shots per game on the road, miles above the 24.6 they’ve held opponents to on home soil.
They’re in the latter half of a road back-to-back against a Blackhawks team that hasn’t played since Saturday, and hasn’t traveled since Oct. 8 against the Islanders.
L.A. shouldn't limit shot volume here, and Anton Forsberg’s expected save percentage sits 10 points below reality.
We should expect the best out of Connor Bedard and the Blackhawks tonight.

Kings vs Blackhawks combo
I’m combining the Blackhawks on the moneyline with Artemi Panarin and Bedard to each record three shots.
Los Angeles is playing its fifth road game in eight nights against a Chicago team that hasn’t hopped on a bird in nearly 20 days. It’s a big schedule loss for the Kings, and I expect that to show up on the scoreboard.
Panarin leads the Kings in shot attempts and has seen an uptick with Alex Laferriere joining the top line.
Bedard cleared 2.5 shots in 74% of games vs. Bottom 12 shot-suppression teams last year, and did so in the only game this season that fit the criteria.
Kings vs Blackhawks combo
- Blackhawks moneyline
- Artemi Panarin Over 2.5 shots
- Connor Bedard Over 2.5 shots
TOP PICK
Kings vs Blackhawks player prop: Artemi Panarin Over 2.5 shots
I’m riding the Panarin train until the wheels fall off, and would back him to 57%.
Panarin has averaged 3.2 shots on 6.9 attempts per game and cleared 2.5 shots in eight of the past nine.
His volume has ticked up further since Laferriere took over as the top-line center. Panarin has produced 9.15 shots on goal per 60 minutes of 5-on-5 play with Laferriere, a far cry from the 5.13 he was averaging with Quinton Byfield.
Factor in the Blackhawks rank 29th in shots on goal allowed, and there’s a lot to like here.
Kings vs Blackhawks goal scorer: Connor Bedard
Play Bedard for a goal up to 39%.
The Kings are allowing more than 30 shots per game on the road and are playing their fifth away game in eight nights. Bedard is the biggest benefactor of this matchup.
He leads Chicago in shots on target and expected goals since returning to the lineup. He’ll also mostly avoid LA’s top line — and only good unit — with Chicago controlling the matchups.
