A small but fruitful three-game NHL slate is on the docket tonight.

Expert NHL moneyline picks: Nov. 6

Blue Jackets vs Sabres pick: Sabres Sabres

Novig probability: 61%

The Buffalo Sabres are starting to win consistently at 5-on-5, scoring and preventing goals at a top-10 rate over the last 10 games.

They should control the run of play against a fatigued Columbus Blue Jackets team, and it’s unlikely they can gain ground on special teams to make up for it.

Columbus has scored just six power-play goals through 14 games, and two of them came in their season opener.

Sharks vs Wild pick: Wild Wild

Novig probability: 71%

Players-only meeting or not, it’s difficult to envision positive changes for the San Jose Sharks against the Minnesota Wild.

They look like a legitimate Stanley Cup contender, leading the league in score-adjusted xGF% and ranking first in goals against per game.

Minnesota’s top line is borderline unstoppable and should be licking its chops for the chance to play against San Jose’s poor defense.

Ducks vs Flames pick: Ducks Ducks

Novig probability: 44%

The Calgary Flames are 27th in schedule-adjusted goal differential. They are not a very good team.

While Dustin Wolf has performed better over the last few games, he is still sitting at -5.3 Goals Saved Above Expected through nine appearances.

The Anaheim Ducks have scored at least five times in six consecutive games and should make it difficult on a poor Flames offense to keep up.

Today's NHL moneyline combo

Sabres moneyline

Wild moneyline

Ducks moneyline

The Sabres have the better 5-on-5 profile and rest advantage, the Wild are a powerhouse hosting a team that has dropped five of six, and the Ducks are scorching hot offensively.
