It was a sweaty but profitable day on the NHL picks last night, but I'll never complain about a +7.95-unit evening. Today's a three-game Friday slate, and there is ruckus potential.
Kent Johnson's point prop is being disrespected on the second night of a back-to-back, while Minnesota's top line might go nuclear, and the stacks are coming in Alberta again tonight.
These are my favorite NHL predictions for Friday, November 6.

Pick #1: Kent Johnson Over 0.5 points
A top-line player who also plays on the top power-play unit should never be priced around even money for a point. This is also a favorable matchup, as the Buffalo Sabres have the seventh-worst save percentage in hockey at .870.
Kent Johnson found the scoresheet last night vs. the Stars, playing over 20 minutes and ranking third among Columbus Blue Jackets forwards in ice time. He's averaging 18:21 over his last 10 games and has points in six straight.
Sometimes the second game of a back-to-back can push player point prices too far, and that seems to be the case here. Johnson should be priced closer to 57% to record a point.
- Matchup: Blue Jackets vs. Sabres
- Time: 7 p.m. ET
- Location: KeyBank Center, Buffalo, N.Y.
- TV: MSG
Pick #2: Joel Eriksson Ek Over 0.5 assists
The Minnesota Wild's top line is the best in hockey. Kirill Kaprizov, Matt Boldy, Joel Eriksson Ek and Quinn Hughes have accounted for 58% of the team's goals this year and have combined for 79 points in just 17 games. Eriksson Ek is centering two of the NHL's better goal scorers, as Boldy tallied 42 goals last season and Kaprizov leads the league in goals heading into tonight.
It's hard to find value betting the line as a whole, but Eriksson Ek's assist is where I see the best opportunity. He has a scoring touch himself, but there are simply too many scoring options around him to pass up this price at 2.1x or better.
The San Jose Sharks have the worst expected goals against per 60 in hockey and the fourth-worst xG%, while the Wild rank first in xGF/60. This has the potential to be a lopsided game, and I expect this line to contribute multiple times tonight.

Pick #3: Sennecke/Gauthier + Farabee/Coronato Over 0.5 points each
The Anaheim Ducks stack cashed at 5x yesterday, and I'm running it back in Calgary tonight.
Beckett Sennecke has seven points over his last two games, while Cutter Gauthier has added nine goals in his last four. This double stack has hit in five of their last six games.
On the Calgary side, this offense is significantly better at home than on the road. The Flames have averaged 3.25 goals per game on home ice compared to a league-worst 1.63 on the road. Matt Coronato and Joel Farabee have combined for 23 points over eight home games, recording points in six of those contests.
This matchup also features two of the NHL's best power plays, and I could see multiple goals with the man advantage tonight, especially with the Ducks allowing 23 special-teams goals over their last six games.
- Matchup: Ducks vs. Flames
