The Florida Panthers have another chance to close out the series after the Tampa Bay Lightning stayed alive thanks to a gutsy effort in Game 4.

Unfortunately for Tampa fans, my Lightning vs. Panthers predictions believe that win was just "lightning in a bottle," and expect the Cats to send the Bolts packing tonight. Read all about it below in my NHL picks for this April 29 affair.

My analysis
Everything came together for the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 4 on Saturday. They outshot the Florida Panthers 32-25 and went 2-for-5 on the power play en route to a 6-3 victory. Jon Cooper challenged his team, and they responded in a big way, but it may be a different story in Sunrise tonight.

The Panthers went 26-13-2 at home this season, while the Lightning were just 20-18-3 (20-21 SU) on the road. The Cats have also dominated the Lightning over the past year-plus, going 7-2-0 against the Bolts since the beginning of 2023. One of those losses came in Game 4, and the other came back in March when the Cats had a 50-16 shot differential in a 5-3 loss.

With the series shifting back to Sunrise, all eyes are on the Panthers tonight. They’ve been a terrific home team all season long — and Tampa has been a horrific road team — plus, the Cats have a 55.17% expected goals share at 5-on-5 in this series.
