The Vegas Golden Knights are short road favorites over the Boston Bruins ahead of their 7 p.m. ET puck drop at TD Garden tonight, Monday, Nov. 2.

My favorite Golden Knights vs. Bruins predictions and NHL picks expect Boston to win on home ice thanks to a solid showing from No. 1 goalie Jeremy Swayman tonight.

TOP PICK
Golden Knights vs Bruins prediction: Bruins moneyline

My numbers give the Boston Bruins a 52% chance of winning.

Boston has generated the most expected goals per 60 minutes across its past five games, and No. 1 goalie Jeremy Swayman has been excellent at home this season with 4.19 goals saved above expected across five starts.

The Vegas Golden Knights have also dropped four of their past five games, in addition to losing three of their past four on the road.

Vegas has scored the third-fewest goals per 60 minutes at 5-on-5 during the five-game skid, and the Golden Knights rank 26th in penalty-kill percentage with a dismal 69.4% mark for the year.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Boston Bruins pace the NHL in goals percentage at 5-on-5.

Golden Knights vs Bruins combo

Pair the Golden Knights being limited to just 11 goals across their past five games with Swayman sporting a .921 save percentage at home, and I expect this to be a low-scoring game.

Turning to Bruins star David Pastrnak, he's recorded three or more shots in 12 of 15 games to rank in the 98th percentile of forwards in shots on goal.

Golden Knights vs Bruins combo

  • Bruins moneyline
  • Under 6.5
  • David Pastrnak 3+ shots

Golden Knights vs Bruins player prop: Jeremy Swayman 26+ saves

This saves prop is in play up to 56%.

The Bruins have surrendered the 10th-most shots per game (28.3) while ranking 21st in Corsi For percentage (CF%) and 18th in shot share at 5-on-5, so I'm expecting Swayman to be busy between the pipes tonight.

He's posted the noted high-end .921 save percentage at home, and the Golden Knights average the eighth-most shots per game (29.1) with a 13th-ranked CF% and eighth-ranked shot share at 5-on-5.

Golden Knights vs Bruins goal scorer: Morgan Geekie

I recommend this prop up to 34%.

There's been a huge uptick in shots and attempts with respective 9.89 and 24.73 marks per 60 minutes across the past three games for Bruins winger Morgan Geekie, and he snapped a nine-game goal drought last time out.

Geekie also jumps the boards with the No. 1 power-play unit, and his 10.0% shooting percentage is still well below the 21.8% mark he posted while scoring 72 goals over the previous two seasons.
