The Detroit Red Wings take a trip to the Sunshine State to visit the Florida Panthers on Monday, Nov. 2. This marks their first meeting this season, after the Panthers took three of four meetings in 2025-26.

My Red Wings vs. Panthers predictions lean on another decisive Florida victory, with sudden assist machine Seth Jones continuing his generosity, emphasized by a strong power play matchup for the Cats.

Here are my NHL picks for this Atlantic Division matchup.

 TOP PICK
Red Wings vs Panthers prediction: Panthers moneyline

Play to 65%.

The Florida Panthers have the lowest expected goals against in the entire NHL at 5-on-5 (20.94).

The Cats are winners of three straight and six of their last eight. Meanwhile, the Detroit Red Wings have scored the fifth-fewest goals at even strength (25).

Florida has won all three meetings in 2026 and four of the last five.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Florida's 15.51 expected goals for on the power play lead the NHL, while Detroit sports the 27th-ranked penalty kill at just 68.9%.

Red Wings vs Panthers combo

As we all expected, Seth Jones has a ridiculous 16 assists in his last 10 games and is now tied for second among all defensemen in helpers.

Anton Lundell has just six points in 14 games, but he's fired 32 shots on goal in his last 10, including a career-high eight last game against the Winnipeg Jets. He's hit the Over in four straight and in seven of 10.

Red Wings vs Panthers player prop: Seth Jones 1+ assists

Scoot over, Connor McDavid.

Jones trails only the Edmonton Oilers captain in helpers over the last 10 games, meaning no defenseman has more than he does during that time. He now finds himself third in defenseman scoring with 18 points in 14 games.

He's racked up six assists in his last three games and leads all blueliners with 10 via the man advantage (T-3rd among all skaters). He and Florida's ninth-ranked power play match up incredibly well against the league's sixth-worst penalty kill.

Red Wings vs Panthers goal scorer: Anton Lundell

Lundell is on pace to shatter his career-high in shots on goal and has 12 SOG on a ridiculous 16 attempts across his last two games.

The 2020 12th-overall pick is shooting just 9.5% on the season — a full percentage point below his career 10.5% average. He's averaging 2:33 per game on the power play, which gives him and his newfound trigger-happy ways a perfect opportunity to expose a weak Red Wings penalty kill.

At just 24%, there are five Panthers forwards priced ahead of him.
