One of the few, and boy do I mean very few, bright spots for the Chicago Blackhawks this season has been the play of likely Calder Trophy winner Connor Bedard. He hovers right around the point-per-game mark, which is particularly impressive given his age and surrounding cast this season.

He is currently riding a mini-goal drought, which isn’t saying a whole lot considering he has scored four goals over his past nine games. Still, we are catching an opportunity to buy low on Bedard to find the back of the net at +210 via FanDuel, which is a particularly good line considering that it is 30 cents longer than the rest of the market at the time of writing.

If anyone from the Hawks is going to score, it is likely going to be Bedard. I think the probability of this happening is higher than the odds suggest, especially with goaltender Samuel Ersson slated to guard the cage for the Philadelphia Flyers.

It has been a difficult sophomore campaign for Ersson, who possesses a .895 SV% through 44 appearances in the crease. He has now allowed three or more goals in four of his past six starts, posting a fade-worthy .861 SV% and 3.57 GAA over that stretch.

It’s also worth noting that Bedard serves as the primary triggerman on the first power play unit. I mention this because the Flyers rank 27th in the league in penalty minutes taken per game.

Obviously, there is a correlation between Bedard's scoring and there being at least six total goals scored in this game. We just need Bedard and company to score two or more, because Philadelphia is likely to have a field day against this Chicago team.
