Who will win Panthers vs Packers?

Our prediction: Packers to win — Yes (64%)

Trevor Knapp is siding with the Green Bay Packers in his Week 8 NFL moneyline picks, even with the Carolina Panthers bringing an impressive 13-0 ATS record following losses.

Green Bay has made a habit of keeping inferior opponents close, but Jordan Love and company should have the edge at home against a young Carolina team coming off an ugly loss to Tampa Bay.

Thursday Night Football spread prediction

Outcome Yes probability No probability
Panthers Panthers +3.5 50% 50%

Our prediction: Panthers +3.5 — Yes (50%)

Joe Osborne backs Carolina to keep things close in his Panthers vs. Packers predictions.

The Panthers have covered 13 straight games after outright losses, while the Packers have struggled against the spread as favorites.

Green Bay has also been poor on third downs and in the red zone, opening the door for Carolina to hang around.

Thursday Night Football total prediction

Outcome Yes probability No probability
Under 47.5 51% 49%

Market lean: Under 47.5 — Yes (51%)

Osborne is also leaning Under, as Green Bay's last four games have averaged only 35.5 combined points, and each of Carolina's last six road contests has finished below 40.

The Packers have held four consecutive opponents to 20 points or fewer, adding to the case for a lower-scoring game.

Thursday Night Football player props

Receiving yards prop: Matthew Golden 70+ receiving yards — No (60%)

Jason Logan is fading Golden's receiving-yard ceiling. The Green Bay wideout has caught only 12 of 25 targets over his last two games and is dealing with shoulder and foot issues.

Carolina has limited explosive passes and WR2 production, while pressure could prevent Jordan Love from waiting for deeper routes to develop. Logan projects Golden for 63 yards.

Receptions prop: Jalen Coker 5+ receptions — Yes (57%)

Coker has thrived against zone coverage, which Green Bay uses frequently. Before a blowout-shortened Week 7, he caught six, eight, and eight passes in three of his previous four games.

The Packers have allowed 7.7 targets per game to opposing WR2s, and Logan's projection lands at 5.2 catches.

Interception prop: Bryce Young 1+ interceptions — Yes (54%)

Young threw two interceptions in Week 7 and now faces a Packers defense that leads the league with nine picks.

Carolina's protection problems are especially troubling on a short week, with Taylor Moton lost for the season and Damien Lewis questionable.

Forced into a likely pass-heavy game script, Young could offer Green Bay plenty of turnover opportunities.

For full player-by-player analysis, see Jason Logan's Panthers vs Packers prop picks.

Anytime touchdown prop: Chuba Hubbard — Yes (51%)

Osborne likes Carolina's lead back to find the end zone against a Packers defense that has surrendered 10 touchdowns to running backs.

Hubbard has scored six times in six games and heads into Thursday after a light, seven-carry workload against Tampa Bay.

Panthers vs Packers live markets explained

Kalshi event contracts can be bought and sold as the Panthers vs. Packers unfolds, meaning traders aren't necessarily locked into their original pregame position.

The probabilities will move throughout the game as the score, time remaining, possession, and game state change.

How do Panthers vs Packers prediction markets work?

Kalshi is a federally regulated U.S. exchange where users trade directly on the outcome of real-world future events. Instead of traditional bets, users trade event contracts based on simple Yes/No questions such as "Will the Panthers beat the Packers?"

Contract prices reflect the market's estimated probability of an outcome. A contract trading at 23%, for example, indicates that the market is assigning that outcome roughly a 23% chance of occurring. If the prediction is correct, the contract settles at $1; if it is incorrect, it settles at $0.

How does Kalshi differ from sportsbooks?

At a traditional sportsbook, bettors wager against prices established by the bookmaker. Kalshi instead operates as an exchange, with users trading event contracts against other market participants.

Another major difference is the ability to exit a position before an event is finished. If the probability of your Panthers vs. Packers position increases during the game, you can sell the contract rather than waiting for the final result.

Why trade Panthers vs Packers at Kalshi?

Kalshi offers several features that distinguish prediction markets from traditional pro football betting:

  1. Live flexibility: Contracts can be bought and sold as market probabilities change throughout the game.

  2. Probability-based pricing: Markets display the estimated likelihood of an outcome rather than traditional American odds.

  3. Transparency: Prices are driven by trading activity between market participants.

  4. Federal regulation: Kalshi operates as a CFTC-regulated exchange.
