The ghosts of Lambeau Field have a front row seat to a pre-Halloween prime time pairing between the Panthers and Packers. Jason Logan goes trick-or-treating with his best TNF combos.

Cheeseheads won’t be the only costumes in the crowd at Lambeau Field on Thursday night.

With Halloween this weekend, expect plenty of ghouls and ghosts in the stands when the Green Bay Packers host the Carolina Panthers to kick off Week 8.

My Panthers vs. Packers combos go trick-or-treating, tying my best NFL picks together for a trio of fun prime-time plays on October 29.

Panthers vs Packers combo

The Carolina Panthers have one of the better pass defenses in the NFL and don’t allow many big plays, which has been a staple for the Green Bay Packers in recent games. Both teams have injuries on the offensive line, which doesn’t allow much time in the pocket, and I expect to see more handoffs and shorter gains on the ground.

Jalen Coker gets a great matchup against a Green Bay secondary allowing an NFL-high in targets to WR2s. Coker’s snaps were limited in a blowout loss in Week 7, but he’s drawn at least nine targets in three of the four outings prior to Sunday, catching six or more balls in those games.

Christian Watson can do it all for the Packers, including catching shorter passes and picking up yards after the catch. The Panthers secondary runs a high rate of zone coverage and Watson rates among the top WR in the NFL (No. 9 at PFF) versus zone. He’s caught five of seven red-zone targets his way for three touchdowns inside the 20-yard line and has six total TDs on the season.

Panthers vs Packers touchdown combo

On top of Watson finding his way into the end zone, I like a pair of running backs to break the goal line in Green Bay.

Chuba Hubbard is a threat to find paydirt on the ground or through the air. He has four rushing scores and two receiving touchdowns and leads all Carolina RBs, TEs, and WRs with 17 red-zone snaps. The Packers have allowed 10 total touchdowns to running backs – tied for second-most in 2026.

Josh Jacobs returned to action in Week 7 after missing the start of the season due to his ugly legal issues. Jacobs had 11 rushing attempts, three of which came inside the red zone. Jacobs will see his involvement grow in Week 8 and he’s also a run/catch option, finishing 2025 with 14 total touchdowns.

Panthers vs Packers milestone combo

Tight end Darren Waller has posted 28 receiving yards or more in five of his first six games with the Panthers, including a 50-yard day on just one catch versus Tampa Bay last week. Projections flirt with 30 yards on TNF.

Green Bay hasn’t been great against the run, entering Week 8 with the third-highest opponent success rate per run. The Packers have allowed the 13th-most yards to rival RBs, and Hubbard’s TNF forecasts sit north of 70 yards, with a couple models at 80 yards rushing.

Coker has been one of Bryce Young’s favorite options, and he’s the 20th ranked WR in the NFL at PFF versus zone coverage. Green Bay runs one of the highest rates of zone in the land. Coker finds seams in that coverage and collects at least six catches.
