Sports Equinox 2026 predictions

Cowboys vs Eagles: Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys have been far from convincing, scoring just 29 points over their last two games. But the Philadelphia Eagles are still without Jalen Hurts, who is on the Injured Reserve, while Saquon Barkley is questionable and Devonta Smith is out. Dallas has a clear edge.

Wizards vs Hornets: Wizards

I'm liking what I've seen from the Washington Wizards so far, particularly Trae Young and Anthony Davis. The Charlotte Hornets are still dealing with several injuries, and Washington should have an advantage inside that helps the visitors secure another victory.

Timberwolves vs Cavaliers: Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been absolutely dominant to start the campaign, winning all three games by at least 22 points. Anthony Edwards is firing on all cylinders, and I expect Minnesota to keep rolling against a Cleveland Cavaliers squad that has yet to find its rhythm.

Bulls vs Celtics: Celtics

The Chicago Bulls have been a disaster defensively, surrendering 128 PPG through three contests. The Boston Celtics haven't been particularly impressive offensively, but Jayson Tatum and Co. should have more than enough firepower to take care of business on home court.

Mavericks vs Heat: Heat

The Miami Heat desperately need a victory after starting 0-3, and this is a favorable opportunity to turn things around. The Dallas Mavericks are dealing with numerous injuries, potentially including Cooper Flagg, and I expect Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo to exploit the Mavericks' depleted frontcourt.

Pacers vs Bucks: Pacers

The Milwaukee Bucks are searching for their first victory, and they've been getting torched defensively, allowing 129 PPG. The Indiana Pacers just erupted for 136 points against Brooklyn, and I don't see the Bucks slowing down Tyrese Haliburton and this Pacers offense.

Suns vs Thunder: Suns

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been tremendous defensively, allowing just 96.3 PPG during their perfect 3-0 start. Injuries are piling up for OKC, but Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is playing at an elite level, and I expect the defending champions to handle the Phoenix Suns.

Hawks vs Rockets: Hawks

The Houston Rockets got the better of the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday, but the Hawks still kept it competitive despite shooting just 26.7% from deep. I'm expecting a much better shooting performance in this rematch, and I like Atlanta to pull off the upset on the road.

Grizzlies vs Jazz: Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies have been one of the NBA's early surprises, winning three straight, including a 20-point demolition of the Utah Jazz last week. Utah is surrendering nearly 125 PPG, and with Ty Jerome playing fantastic basketball, I expect the Grizzlies to take advantage again.

Warriors vs Nuggets: Warriors

The Golden State Warriors have looked awful to begin the season, dropping three straight while struggling immensely defensively. The Denver Nuggets just exploded for 141 points against New Orleans, and Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray should have another big night against this vulnerable Warriors squad.

Brewers vs Rays: Rays

I'm backing the Tampa Bay Rays behind the dominance of Freddy Peralta. The right-hander has been lights-out in the playoffs, posting a 1.08 ERA over 16 2/3 innings. During that span, he's allowed only two earned runs. Milwaukee Brewers starter Robert Gasser has been decent as well, but I like Tampa at home, where they went 55-26 this season. They've also won every postseason game with Peralta on the mound.

Check out our full Brewers vs. Rays predictions!

Dream vs Valkyries: Valkyries

The Golden State Valkyries just held the Atlanta Dream to 62 points on 33.3% shooting from the field in Game 4, showing why they were the WNBA's best defensive team this season. Golden State only lost five times at home during the regular season, and I expect the Valkyries to carry that momentum into Game 5 and take a 3-2 series lead.

Check out our full Dream vs. Valkyries predictions!

Kings vs Rangers: Rangers

I'm backing the New York Rangers at home behind Dylan Garand in net. The hosts haven't lost at Madison Square Garden this season, and their offense has an opportunity to exploit a vulnerable Los Angeles Kings blue line. Darcy Kuemper is also allowing 3.55 GAA, and the Kings are only scoring 2.55 goals per contest. Take NY.

Maple Leafs vs Flames: Maple Leafs

The Toronto Maple Leafs are coming off a statement 7-2 win over the Oilers, and I expect them to carry that confidence into tonight's clash with the Calgary Flames. The hosts are 30th in goals allowed, and Toronto just put seven past a much better team. They will punish Dustin Wolf, who is conceding 4.86 goals per contest.

Red Wings vs Oilers: Oilers

The Detroit Red Wings have struggled to consistently create offense, and I expect the Edmonton Oilers to be hungry to respond after losing to the Leafs. Detroit also just allowed four goals to the lowly Flames. The trio of Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Evan Bouchard will make some noise tonight.
