Both the Saints and Titans are already eliminated from the playoff race, but Tyler Shough has been a bright spot for New Orleans and that promise should show up again in Sunday’s matchup.

Saints vs Titans prediction

Saints vs Titans Best bet: Saints -2.5 (-114)

The New Orleans Saints are already out of playoff contention at 5-10. Overall, it hasn’t been a great campaign for this franchise. However, they’ve shown a lot of promise lately.

QB Tyler Shough has led NOLA to three wins in a row, beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, and New York Jets.

Every single victory in this unbeaten run has been by at least three points, which means the Saints have covered in each contest. Their last road game was in Tampa, where they walked away with a 24-20 win.

This is obviously a small spread and if New Orleans is going to win like I expect them to, it will be by a minimum of a field goal. The Tennessee Titans are also just 1-7 at home. The Saints will keep it rolling, and improve to four games below .500.

Saints vs Titans same-game parlay

Shough is showing that he could potentially be the QB1 of the future in The Big Easy. While he’s only thrown for two touchdowns across this winning streak, the last two games saw Shough put up impressive numbers. He cashed the Over in passing yards in both, throwing for 272 yards vs Carolina and 308 yards against the Jets.

The Titans are 22nd in the NFL in passing yards allowed, giving up 222.9 per game. Shough shouldn’t have any issues generating offense downfield once again.

While Tennessee is in the gutter, Tony Pollard is a clear bright spot. The running back is averaging 4.5 yards per carry for 949 yards and five touchdowns. A lot of that damage has come over the last few weeks as well.

Pollard didn’t score a TD against the KC Chiefs in Week 16, but he did have three TDs in the two weeks before that. He’s surpassed the 100-yard rushing mark in three straight games as well, which makes me believe finding the end zone again is a serious possibility.
