The New Orleans Saints have had an eventful week. The second game of the preseason, at the Los Angeles Rams, comes two days after the same two teams had a joint practice.

Who will win Saints vs Rams: Rams moneyline
The Los Angeles Rams are a bit of a surprise as the underdog. Los Angeles was six games better last season, is playing at home, and appeared to have the edge during Thursday's quick, uneventful joint practice.
The New Orleans Saints were 11th in the NFL in sacks last season and fourth in fewest passing yards allowed.
The Saints pass rush has continued to look good in the preseason, but they only managed three sacks in Thursday's practice, as Sean McVeigh's offense was able to withstand the pressure with audibles, short drops, and quick passes.
Rams QB Matt Stafford had just three incompletions on the day.
On the other side of the ball, the Rams were able to pressure QB Tyler Shough and the injury-riddled Saints offense. L.A. also produced several tackles for loss in the run game.

The Saints' offense was without receiver Chris Olave for the joint practice, and running back Alvin Kamara will miss extended time with injury.
New Orleans benched 37 players for its preseason opener and will likely hold out its starters again this week.
However, with several projected backups perhaps needing to start for the Saints in the early season, benchings may go even further down the depth chart.
The skeleton crew Saints managed just 56 rushing yards in their preseason opener, the fewest of any team in the NFL on last weekend's exhibition schedule.
The Rams will also not have their starters see much time, if any, which is why Thursday's joint practice was ones vs. ones—that was the first-string's only work this week.
