Who will win Commanders vs 49ers?

The Washington Commanders are sizable road underdogs, and Trevor Knapp is backing the undefeated San Francisco 49ers outright in his NFL Week 6 moneyline picks.

Our prediction: 49ers to win — Yes (78%)

"Not only are the 49ers one of just two remaining undefeated teams, but three of their wins have come against the Rams, Broncos, and Seahawks.

The Commanders couldn’t get out of their own way after fumbling away a win against the G-Men, but they won’t come close to one in Santa Clara. Give me the 49ers all day."

Monday Night Football spread prediction

Outcome Yes probability No probability
Washington Commanders Commanders (+7.5) 51% 49%

Our prediction: Commanders +7.5 — Yes (51%)

Chris Vasile is taking the points with Washington in his NFL against the spread picks.

The 49ers are undefeated and deserve to be favored, but Vasile believes more than a touchdown is too much against Jayden Daniels.

"The Commanders just watched their quarterback run for 109 yards and two touchdowns against the Giants, giving them a way to extend drives even when the passing game stalls. The 49ers also have injuries at receiver, including Deebo Samuel, which could limit their usual firepower.

Washington’s defense is a concern, so I’m not calling for the upset. I simply think Daniels can keep this within seven."

Monday Night Football total prediction

Outcome Yes probability No probability
Under 52.5 51% 49%

Market lean: Under 52.5 — Yes (51%)

NFL analyst Josh Inglis thinks the market has pushed this Monday night total too high.

In his Commanders vs. 49ers predictions, Inglis notes that the total climbed from 49.5 on the lookahead to 52.5 despite significant offensive injury concerns on both sides.

"Washington could have trouble moving the ball, and I doubt San Francisco is going to let Jayden Daniels run for another 100+ yards. Running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt has not practiced this week, while his backups, Austin Ekeler and Rachaad White, have both been limited. Stefon Diggs logged his first limited practice since Week 4, and Terry McLaurin is getting veteran rest after failing to handle his full workload in Week 5."

Monday Night Football player props

Rushing prop: Brock Purdy 20+ rushing yards — Yes (44%)

Inglis is also targeting Purdy's legs against a Washington defense that has struggled to contain mobile quarterbacks.

In his Commanders vs. 49ers predictions, Inglis notes that Purdy has gone Over his rushing total in four of five games and has rushed for at least 29 yards in each of those four Overs. He's projected for 29.4 rushing yards tonight, while Washington is allowing 19.4 rushing yards per game to opposing quarterbacks.

Receiving prop: Austin Ekeler Over 6.5 receiving yards — Yes (53%)

Tom Oldfield expects Ekeler to have an expanded passing-game role with Washington's backfield dealing with injuries.

"The Commanders are allowing 19.4 rushing yards per game to opposing QBs, the seventh-highest mark in the league. Jameis Winston (27 yards on a 2.5-yard total), Dak Prescott (26 yards on a 12.5-yard total), and Jalen Hurts (46 yards on a 30.5-yard total) all set season-high rushing marks against this defense, beating their closing rushing totals by an average of 17 yards. Purdy currently ranks sixth at his position in scramble yards and fifth in designed runs."

Check out Tom Oldfield's full Commanders vs. 49ers player props for his complete breakdown.

49ers anytime touchdown prop: Jacob Cowing anytime touchdown — Yes (19%)

Inglis is targeting Cowing as a value touchdown option with San Francisco's receiver room depleted.

"Deebo exited in the third quarter last week and has been ruled out for Monday. With Demarcus Robinson also out and Mike Evans questionable, Jacob Cowing is an appealing down-the-order TD target in an elite offense facing a Commanders defense that ranks in the bottom six in EPA per dropback."

Commanders vs 49ers live markets explained

Kalshi event contracts can be bought and sold as the Commanders vs. 49ers unfolds, meaning traders aren't necessarily locked into their original pregame position.

The probabilities will move throughout the game as the score, time remaining, possession, and game state change.

How do Commanders vs 49ers prediction markets work?

Kalshi is a federally regulated U.S. exchange where users trade directly on the outcome of real-world future events. Instead of traditional bets, users trade event contracts based on simple Yes/No questions such as "Will the Commanders beat the 49ers?"

Contract prices reflect the market's estimated probability of an outcome. A contract trading at 23%, for example, indicates that the market is assigning that outcome roughly a 23% chance of occurring. If the prediction is correct, the contract settles at $1; if it is incorrect, it settles at $0.

How does Kalshi differ from sportsbooks?

At a traditional sportsbook, bettors wager against prices established by the bookmaker. Kalshi instead operates as an exchange, with users trading event contracts against other market participants.

Another major difference is the ability to exit a position before an event is finished. If the probability of your Commanders vs. 49ers position increases during the game, you can sell the contract rather than waiting for the final result.

Why trade Commanders vs 49ers at Kalshi?

Kalshi offers several features that distinguish prediction markets from traditional pro football betting:

  1. Live flexibility: Contracts can be bought and sold as market probabilities change throughout the game.

  2. Probability-based pricing: Markets display the estimated likelihood of an outcome rather than traditional American odds.

  3. Transparency: Prices are driven by trading activity between market participants.

  4. Federal regulation: Kalshi operates as a CFTC-regulated exchange.
