Week 2 of the NFL season is here, and the Washington Commanders are set to kick things off with a Thursday night showdown at Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers.

Before the action begins under the bright lights and among the sea of cheeseheads, we've got your all-in-one guide for the best bets, top props, and expert Commanders vs. Packers predictions for tonight's matchup.

So let’s get straight to it with everything you need to know before kickoff.

Commanders vs Packers TNF predictions

Commanders vs Packers TNF best bets

Commanders Commanders +3

+100 at bet365

That hook on the three point spread is massive for the underdog in a game that could go down to the wire. I think Washington shows up to play and at the very least can keep this game close.

Under 49

-110 at bet365

I like what I saw from each defense to open the season. It’s hard to judge off a one-week sample size, but each finished in the top four in yards per play allowed. As a result, I lean towards the Under.

Commanders vs Packers TNF TD picks

Packers Tucker Kraft Anytime TD

+210 at bet365

Washington isn't the only team in this matchup that feeds its tight end inside the 20-yard line. Tucker Kraft led the Green Bay Packers with 15 red-zone targets last year, and he caught 11 of them for 103 yards and six touchdowns.

Kraft finished the 2024 season with 50 receptions for 707 yards and seven touchdowns. He picked up right where he left off in Week 1, hauling in a 15-yard touchdown on the opening drive.

The Commanders allowed eight touchdowns to opposing tight ends last year — the fifth-highest number in the league. Kraft should be able to take advantage of that hole on D and find his way into the end zone on Thursday night.

Commanders vs Packers TNF props

Commanders Jayden Daniels Over 21.5 Completions

-105 at bet365

The Green Bay Packers held the highly-regarded Lions offense to just 13 points in Week 1. They did a great job of preventing explosive plays downfield but did concede shorter passes with Jared Goff finishing with 31 completions.

Meanwhile, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels completed 19-of-30 passes for 233 yards in a 21-6 win against the Giants. It's worth noting that his receivers had three drops and should be more sure-handed with the Week 1 jitters in the rearview mirror.

The Commanders also had a positive game script last week and should be forced to pass more on TNF since they're installed as 3.5-point road dogs.

Entering this year, Daniels had more than 21.5 completions in the previous nine games that he had started and finished. I'm betting on the 2024 Offensive Rookie of the Year to eclipse that number again.
