The Washington Commanders will be without Jayden Daniels when they travel to Arrowhead to take on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs for Monday Night Football.

There are several matchup advantages for both teams that we can exploit in our NFL player props. My top NFL picks for the Monday nighter are below.

Commanders vs Chiefs MNF props

Player Pick bet365
Packers Deebo Samuel Under 1.5 rush attempts +135
Packers Rashee Rice Over 6.5 receptions +125
Packers Patrick Mahomes Longest pass completion Over 38.5 yards -115

Deebo Samuel Uner 1.5 rush attempts

+135 at bet365

Deebo Samuel was once known as a wide back in his days in San Francisco because of how often he saw carries out of the backfield. However, later in his career now with the Washington Commanders, he's played much more of a true wide receiver role.

Samuel has only eight rush attempts through six games this season. He's also been dealing with a heel injury that even caused him to miss last week’s game. With a heel injury, they really do not want him running the ball too much outside of his catches.

The combination of his own injuries with so many other players around him on offense hurt; there just has not been much opportunity for him to play out of the backfield. Instead, they'll rely more on their three-headed backfield of Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Chris Rodriguez, and Jeremy McNichols.

Rashee Rice Over 6.5 receptions

+125 at bet365

Rashee Rice made his return from suspension last week, and he was welcomed back with a peppering of targets from Patrick Mahomes. He finished with seven catches on 10 targets for 42 yards and two touchdowns.

This Commanders defense ranks 24th in overall passing efficiency and 25th in passing yards allowed. They've also allowed an opposing player to have at least seven receptions in two of the last four games.

Mahomes & Co. are going to continue to feed Rice early and often on Monday night, and against a bad efficiency defense, he may only need about eight or nine targets to reach this number.

Patrick Mahomes longest pass completion Over 38.5 yards

-115 at bet365

This number may seem a little high considering Patrick Mahomes has only hit this number in one of his last five games, but that's what the addition of both Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice can add to this offense.

Last week, Mahomes had a long of 44 yards, and now he gets to face one of the worst passing defenses against deep passes. The Commanders rank 25th in the NFL in defending long passes. They allow 55.4 yards per game on passes that have at least 20+ air yards, good for 28th in the league.

Mahomes is only 8-for-28 on passes of 20+ air yards this season, but much of that was without his two biggest deep threats. Last week, he was 1/3 on these passes for 39 yards. I like his chances of having another completion or two of distance on Monday night.
