The Los Angeles Chargers and Jacksonville Jaguars meet in Florida this weekend, with the visitors riding a three-game winning streak. The Jaguars blew a near-certain victory over the Texans on Sunday and simply have to win and get confidence again.

My Chargers vs. Jaguars predictions and NFL picks believe L.A.'s improving offense will cover the spread in a high-scoring game. The game will kick off at 1:00 pm on Sunday, November 16, and you can watch on CBS.

Chargers vs Jaguars predictions

Here are our early thoughts on the spread and total for this week’s game. We will have a full game preview (with a best bet and SGP) later in the week.

Early Chargers vs Jaguars spread pick: Chargers -2.5

-120 at FanDuel

You’re currently getting the Los Angeles Chargers at -2.5, but this is a line that is almost certainly going to move as the week progresses, so get the value while you can because it’ll move quickly.

The Chargers sit 7-3 in a tough division and are finding ways to beat their opposition, either through the air or on the ground. Kimani Vidal has done well in place of the injured Omarion Hampton and Najee Harris, and in good news for the team, we’ve seen Ladd McConkey find his form.

The team seems to be finding real form now and is growing each week. Over the first five games, the offense averaged 19.6 points per game but is averaging 28.4 over the following five, which shows the improvement we’ve seen.

Justin Herbert & Co. may only be 4-5-1 ATS, but they’ve covered in two of their past three and should do so again against a struggling Jacksonville Jaguars team.

We saw the Jaguars were set to beat the Texans on Sunday, but allowed their opposition to score 26 points in the fourth quarter. The defense collapsed, and they now face a far tougher opposition than the Davis Mills-led Texans.

The Jags haven’t covered in their previous four games and have several key players injured.

Early Chargers vs Jaguars total pick: Over 44.5

-110 at FanDuel

The total sits at 44.5, and it’s a number that we really should see hit the Over. As bad as the Jaguars have been at times this season, we do know that Liam Coen’s offense can be explosive at times. As humiliating as the defeat to the Texans was, they still put 29 points on a very good Houston defense.

If you look across the season, the Chargers have averaged 24 points per game, with the Jaguars at 22.8 points per game. However, as mentioned above, this Chargers offense has put up bigger numbers of late.

If you look at recent games, it again points towards the Over being the way. The Under hit in L.A.'s past game against the Steelers, but the Over was the winner in four games before that, with the Over being smashed in games against the Colts and Dolphins.

Meanwhile, the Over is 5-4 for the Jaguars this season; however, it’s 4-2 across the past six. We saw the games against the Chiefs, Raiders, and Texans all exceed the closing total by double digits.
