The Gamecocks' day was derailed by a missed field goal, a fumble, an interception, and a pair of failed fourth-down conversion attempts. Their defense also allowed a one-play, 75-yard touchdown drive.
South Carolina outgained Kentucky 458-394 in Week 5 but lost in overtime after once again being burned by turnovers. After jumping out to a 17-0 lead, South Carolina fumbled in its own territory, turned the ball over on downs at midfield, and lost another fumble in the fourth quarter.

The Gamecocks have been more than capable of holding their own offensively in those games, though. They produced 419 yards of total offense against Alabama and 458 yards against Kentucky. If not for several costly turnovers, South Carolina would have had a legitimate chance to pull off an upset in both games.
Rain and wind could prove troublesome for the offenses today if the forecast worsens, but as of now, the conditions don't appear to be a major concern.
