Who will win Ohio State vs Iowa?
Rob Paul has identified Ohio State as a solid moneyline play over Iowa in his Top 25 predictions for Week 5.
Our prediction: Ohio State to win — Yes (83%)
"This Ohio State team is a worst-case-scenario matchup for the Hawkeyes right now, with the Buckeyes owning one of the top passing attacks in the country (fourth in EPA per pass) and a defense that's 14th in havoc rate (20.8%).
With Jeremiah Smith leading college football in almost every receiving category and Julian Sayin ranking second nationally in QBR (92.8), I expect Ohio State to pull away in the second half."
Ohio State vs Iowa spread prediction
Our prediction: Ohio State -14.5 — Yes (50%)
Paul is laying the points with the Buckeyes in his Ohio State vs. Iowa predictions.
"While the Hawkeyes are coming off a last-second win over Michigan and have College GameDay in town for the first time in 20 years, their win over the Wolverines is misleading.
Bryce Underwood had one of the best games of his career against Iowa (three big-time throws, zero turnover-worthy plays), and if Michigan hadn't come away with no points on two drives that ended inside Iowa's 20, the Wolverines would have won.
Ohio State has no trouble finishing drives, ranking No. 13 nationally in points per opportunity (5.11) and No. 7 in offensive success rate (52.4%)."
Ohio State vs Iowa total prediction
Market lean: Over 45.5 — Yes (53%)
Paul is picking the Over today due to Iowa's struggling defense.
"Iowa's pass defense has uncharacteristically struggled this season, ranking 66th in EPA per pass and 38th in pass success rate (41%), and just got torched by Underwood (72.7 QBR against Iowa).
That's going to be a massive problem against an Ohio State aerial assault that's among the best in college football."

Ohio State vs Iowa player props
Rushing prop: Kamari Moulton Over 13.5 rushing attempts — Yes (51%)
See why JD Yonke is calling for a busy night for Kamari Moulton.
"Iowa will need to establish the run to control the ball, the clock, and this game. The Hawkeyes can't compete score-for-score with Ohio State and Jeremiah Smith if this game turns into a shootout, and the coaching staff knows it.
That'll mean a healthy dose of Kamari Moulton. Iowa's RB1 had just 13 carries a week ago, but it was encouraging that none of his backups saw more than four totes."
Receiving prop: DJ Vonnahme Over 28.5 receiving yards — Yes (53%)
Yonke is also backing DJ Vonnahme to clear a low receiving bar.
"He's off to a "slow" start to the season, but that's more injury-related than anything. He returned to the field last week against Michigan and caught four passes for 44 yards. Expecting that to be at least his season-long average moving forward is more than reasonable. Going into the year, Vonnahme led all returning tight ends in yards per route run (3.10). He's averaging 60.1 receiving yards across his last eight games, so take the steep discount on this number."

Ohio State anytime touchdown prop: Ja'Kobi Jackson — Yes (46%)
Chris Hatfield believes the price on Ja'Kobi Jackson is off.
"Through four FBS games, he has 31 carries for 206 yards, five touchdowns and 6.65 yards per rush, while producing 0.31 EPA per rush and a 51.6% success rate. That rushing profile ranks 51st nationally in EPA per rush."

Ohio State vs Iowa live markets explained
Event contracts can be bought and sold as the Ohio State vs. Iowa unfolds, meaning traders aren't necessarily locked into their original pregame position.
The probabilities will move throughout the game as the score, time remaining, possession, and game state change.
How do Ohio State vs Iowa prediction markets work?
ProphetX is a federally regulated U.S. exchange where users trade directly on the outcome of real-world future events. Instead of traditional bets, users trade event contracts based on simple Yes/No questions such as "Will the Ohio State beat the Iowa?"
Contract prices reflect the market's estimated probability of an outcome. A contract trading at 23%, for example, indicates that the market is assigning that outcome roughly a 23% chance of occurring. If the prediction is correct, the contract settles at $1; if it is incorrect, it settles at $0.
How do prediction markets differ from sportsbooks?
At a traditional sportsbook, bettors wager against prices established by the bookmaker. ProphetX instead operates as an exchange, with users trading event contracts against other market participants.
Another major difference is the ability to exit a position before an event is finished. If the probability of your Ohio State vs. Iowa position increases during the game, you can sell the contract rather than waiting for the final result.
Why trade Ohio State vs Iowa at ProphetX?
ProphetX offers several features that distinguish prediction markets from traditional football betting:
- Live flexibility: Contracts can be bought and sold as market probabilities change throughout the game.
- Probability-based pricing: Markets display the estimated likelihood of an outcome rather than traditional American odds.
- Transparency: Prices are driven by trading activity between market participants.
- Federal regulation: ProphetX operates as a CFTC-regulated exchange.
