It has been a trying season for the Indiana Pacers after coming oh so close to their first NBA Championship.

Tyrese Haliburton’s injury and players leaving have the Pacers at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings. The bright side? They’ve won three in a row heading into tonight’s matchup with the Toronto Raptors.

Unfortunately, my Raptors vs. Pacers predictions and NBA picks are here to tell you why Toronto is a bad matchup for Indiana and a good value as just a 2.5-point favorite for this matchup at Gainbridge Fieldhouse tonight.

Raptors vs Pacers prediction

Raptors vs Pacers best bet: Raptors -2 (-110)

The Indiana Pacers have won three in a row thanks to some great perimeter defense. Unfortunately for them, with players like Scottie Barnes and Brandon Ingram, the Toronto Raptors do their best work inside the 3-point line.

Toronto has the sixth-highest two-point attempt percentage and ranks 13th in two-point field goal percentage.

Bet on that to continue against an Indiana squad that surrenders the fourth-highest 2-point FG percentage in the NBA.

Combine that with the Raptors’ Top 10 defense going against the Pacers dead-last offense and there is value with Toronto on this short spread.

Raptors vs Pacers same-game parlay

Brandon Ingram is the face of the Raptors’ mid-range game. He’s averaging 21.7 points per game, and that’s up to 25.3 over a 12-game stretch spanning most of December and into January.

But a thumb injury and tough matchups have hammered his output lately. That said, this looks like a prime bounce-back spot, and in his last matchup against the Pacers, he went for 26 points.

Another place the Pacers struggle is on the glass, where they rank next-to-last in rebounding rate. Take rookie Collin Murray-Boyles to go Over 7.5 rebounds after averaging 8.8 over his last seven games.

Our "from downtown" SGP: CMB secures a double-double

CMB just over rebounds is boring. Let's go with a double-double instead with the Raptors rookie averaging 9.1 points over his last seven games.
