Favorites to win the Goodyear 400
Kyle Larson (+500)
The reigning Cup Series champ is trending in the right direction again this season. After winning in California and coming second in Vegas, Larson posted finishes of 19th or worse in four of five races, but has now rebounded to post Top-6 results in that same sample. He finished second in this race last year.
Martin Truex Jr. (+700)
As the defending Goodyear 400 champ and one of the most seasoned drivers on the circuit, Truex gets the benefit of the odds here despite an uneven season thus far. Truex has only two Top-5 finishes this season, with results of 22nd, 21st and 12th in three of his past four races.
Denny Hamlin (+800)
Speaking of uneven seasons, Hamlin has struggled for the most part in 2022. While he won this race in 2020's COVID-altered format and is one of the best drivers by reputation, Hamlin has just one Top-10 finish this season. It happened to be a victory at Richmond, but it still looks like an outlier against his other results, regardless of pedigree.
Chase Elliott (+800)
Elliott comes in rolling, with Top-10 finishes in each of his last four races, culminating in his first victory of the season last weekend in Dover. Elliott leads the overall Cup Series standings and has consistently put himself in a position to find Victory Lane, finishing worse than 14th just once this season.
Kyle Busch (+1,000)
Busch is one of the hottest drivers in NASCAR right now, with five-straight Top-10 finishes, including a victory in the Dirt Race and a third-place result at Talladega. Currently sitting fourth in overall points, Busch finished third here last year, second in 2020, and third in 2019, proving he's comfortable at Darlington.
How to bet on NASCAR
The most popular way to bet on NASCAR is by simply picking the winner of a race, which is also referred to as an outright. There are plenty of other ways to wager, including betting on whether or not a driver will finish in the Top 3 or Top 10 of a race.
Another popular betting option is head-to-head matchup betting, where sportsbooks pair up two drivers and you choose who you think will finish better in the race, which is far easier than trying to select someone to win out of a field of approximately 40 drivers.
