The New York Yankees and the Athletics begin a weekend series in Northern California tonight.
It will be a homecoming for Aaron Judge, as he'll be playing in Sacramento for the first time in his major league career—— fifty miles from his high school. The Yankees will need him to break out of a minor slump to extend their two-game win streak.
Meanwhile, the A's will be looking to break out of a two-game losing streak, but my Yankees vs. Athletics predictions don't like their chances.

Yankees vs Athletics prediction
My Yankees vs Athletics best bet: Yankees -1.5 (+105 at Caesars)
In case you didn't already know by now, the temporary home of the Athletics has become a hitter's paradise where offense reigns supreme. Runs across the board are up over the last month in baseball, and that definitely applies to Sutter Health Park.
With that in the periphery, I've been waiting for the New York Yankees to play their first series in this park. It would mark the closest game Aaron Judge has likely played to his hometown, and the Yankees are extremely well-suited to play in this park.
Tonight, we have a great dynamic when it comes to pinpointing a clear edge: a flyball starter against a groundball pitcher.
Naturally, playing in a park like Sutter Health — which has the highest park factor for night games in the MLB this season at 117 — is a scary endeavor for flyball pitchers. The ball carries more, and the fences are more shallow, increasing the likelihood of homers and extra-base hits.
Temperatures in Sacramento on Friday are also expected to hang in the upper 80s. That won't be comforting.
Meanwhile, the Yankees boast the most homers on the season, averaging 1.68 per game. According to the BatX, Trent Grisham, Cody Bellinger, and Ben Rice also all see a boost in their expected offensive play because of tonight's venue.
This is all spells doom for Osvaldo Bido, as the extreme flyball pitcher will go to the mound with a hard-hit rate below league average. The A's right-hander also throws the fastball over 40% of the time, making things even better for the Yankees.
On the other side is Will Warren, whose improving ground ball clip is enough for me to look past his flaw, especially when New York's offense should do the majority of the heavy lifting.
I'm making Yankees -1.5 my third two-unit play of the season.
Yankees vs Athletics same-game parlay (SGP)
The home run prices have finally been adjusted for Sacramento, but Rice still has some value.
We'll see how much Bido throws the fastball tonight against a team that most pitchers shy away from, but even so, Rice matches up very well against his changeup and slider.
According to Bat X, Sutter Health Park provides a nice boost to lefties. I'd play this parlay to +405.
