Freddie Freeman is a proven slugger, and when he went ice-cold at the plate in June, we knew it was just a matter of time before he began raking again.
Freeman is looking like his usual All-Star self again, and my MLB picks are backing him to have a big night against the Diamondbacks.
Here are my best free MLB player props for August Saturday, August 30.

Our 3 best MLB player props for Saturday, August 30
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Andrew Abbott Under 2.5 earned runs
Cincinnati Reds lefty Andrew Abbott has struggled this month, posting a 4.62 ERA through four starts. That said, he pitched a gem against the red-hot Brewers and had shaky performances against the Diamondbacks, Phillies, and Cubs, who are all among the best-hitting teams in the majors.
Don't forget that before August, he had allowed fewer than 2.5 earned runs in 16 of his first 19 starts, logging an incredible 2.15 ERA over that span. Abbott does a great job of limiting hard contact, and he should be able to get back on track today at home against the weak-hitting St. Louis Cardinals.
The Cards are dead-last in the majors in OPS since the All-Star break (.661) and have gone Under their team total in 30 of their last 50 contests.

Prop #2: Vinnie Pasquantino Over 0.5 RBI
Kansas City Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino is tied for seventh in the majors with 94 RBI through 133 games. He's slugging .606 this month and that combined with KC improving at the dish has resulted in him driving in 29 runs over his last 24 games.
Today Pasquantino and the Royals are at home against the Detroit Tigers and righty Jack Flaherty. Flaherty has pitched to a 6.08 ERA with a 1.48 WHIP on the road. He's been especially bad lately, surrendering at least five runs in three of his last four starts.
That includes last week when Flaherty surrendered eight runs to the Royals and Pasquantino homered against him in the third inning. With Pasquantino batting third in the lineup and having the platoon advantage against Flaherty, back him to go Over 0.5 RBIs again.

Prop #3: Freddie Freeman Over 1.5 total bases
Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman was mired, but he has snapped out of it after the All-Star break. It seemed obvious that a nine-time All-Star like Freeman with good underlying metrics was due for positive regression, and that's happened in August.
Freeman is slashing .309,374/.606 this month, and tonight he gets to play at home with the wind blowing towards right field at 10 mph.
The Arizona Diamondbacks will have the subpar Eduardo Rodriguez (5.67 ERA with an OBA of .301 through 23 starts) on the mound with a bad bullpen behind him. Freeman has crushed Rodriguez in his career, going 7-13 at the dish with two doubles and a homer.
