We got ourselves a winning ticket last night when we took the YRFI play between the Tigers and Royals and three runs were scored in the first inning.

My MLB picks are going back to that bet tonight with it installed at a pick'em price despite a pair of shaky starters on the mound.

Here are my three favorite YRFI and NRFI bets for Saturday, August 30.

Best NRFI/YRFI bets today

  • TEAM Brewers vs Blue Jays Blue Jays: YRFI
  • Tigers Tigers vs Royals Royals: YRFI
  • Mariners Mariners vs Guardians Guardians: YRFI

NRFI/YRFI bets for August 30

Brewers at Blue Jays: YRFI (Play at Thrillzz)

The Toronto Blue Jays and Milwaukee Brewers have been mashing since the All-Star break. Toronto leads the majors in OPS (.845) and is second in runs per game (5.79) after the break, while Milwaukee is second in OPS (.814) and first in runs per game (5.95).

The YRFI bet is still available at a decent price this afternoon due to a couple of solid starters. The Brewers will have Quinn Priester and his 3.44 ERA on the bump while the Jays have two-time All-Star Kevin Gausman and his 3.87 ERA.

However, Gausman has been inconsistent this year while Priester has gotten off to poor starts, posting a 5.36 ERA with an OBA of .274 through the first two innings. I'm expecting at least one of these red-hot offenses to get going early today.

Tigers at Royals: YRFI (Play at Thrillzz)

Both of these teams have been red-hot at the plate with the Kansas City Royals fifth in the majors in OPS over the last 15 days (.809) and the Detroit Tigers seventh (.794).

The Tigers will give the pill to Jack Flaherty. The veteran has struggled on the road, where he has pitched to a 6.08 ERA with a 1.48 WHIP.

Meanwhile, Stephen Kolek makes his KC debut after being recalled from the minors. Kolek was traded from the Padres after a slew of ugly outings and has even struggled at the Triple-A level, posting a 6.65 ERA in 11 starts.

Team at Team: YRFI (Play at Thrillzz)

The YRFI prop for this game is at plus money, which is surprising considering the Seattle Mariners' offensive production away from home.

The Mariners are third in the majors in OPS (.764) and run first-inning percentage (38.1%) on the road. They'll have success against Cleveland Guardians Gavin Williams, who has an xERA of 4.43 through 26 starts.

To be fair, the Guardians are one of the worst-hitting teams around. That said, the top of their lineup is dangerous with Steven Kwan and Jose Ramirez, and they are 13th in the majors in run-first-inning percentage at home (31.8%).

They'll be going up against M's righty Logan Gilbert, who has a 6.00 ERA with an OBA of .293 on the road.
