My Orioles vs. Phillies predictions see the No. 1 seed in the National League East making easy work of the visitors, with a pair of high-end bats leading the charge.

My Orioles vs Phillies best bet: Kyle Schwarber Over 1.5 total bases (-105 at Caesars)
Philadelphia Phillies DH Kyle Schwarber is one of the league’s most feared hitters against left-handed pitching. He gets on base consistently and hits for a near-unmatched level of power.
He is sporting a .272 average on the year with a ridiculous .379 ISO. Of his 38 homers, 15 have come against lefties (40%) despite significantly more at-bats against right-handed arms.
Baltimore Orioles starter Cade Povich has allowed righties to hit for a higher average than lefties like Schwarber. However, that has come with a power trade-off. Povich has held righties to a .172 ISO compared to a .227 ISO to left-handed bats. That should play into the hands of Schwarber.
So should Povich’s pitch mix. He throws sweepers, fastballs, and sinkers at least 30% of the time vs. lefties.
Schwarber owns ISOs of .333, .432, and .511 against those pitches. The average takes a bit of a hit – no pun intended – against the sweeper, for example, but Schwarber has shown high-end power against everything regularly used in Povich’s arsenal.
Schwarber homered against the Tigers on Sunday Night Baseball. Don’t be surprised if that power is on full display again to kick off this series with the Orioles.

Trea Turner is one of the best doubles producers in the majors. Only 23 batters have recorded more two-baggers this season, 15 of whom have played in more games than Turner.
He averages a hair over one double every five games. Turner has hit lefties well this season, while more than 30% of the hits Povich has allowed to righties have gone for extra bases. It’s a nice matchup.
If Schwarber and Turner are to dish out damage atop the order, the Phillies will be in an excellent position to earn another win.
