The Sacramento Kings have struggled as of late, and they’ll face another tough challenge on Sunday when the Houston Rockets visit Golden 1 Center.

Alperen Sengun posted a dud in his last game out, but my Rockets vs. Kings predictions expect him to bounce back in a big way on the road tonight.

Here are my best free NBA picks for this Western Conference showdown on Sunday, December 21.

Rockets vs Kings prediction

Rockets vs Kings best bet: Alperen Sengun Over 39.5 points + rebounds + assists (-115)

Alperen Sengun finished with arguably his worst stat line of the season on Saturday, as he turned in an 8/6/4 line against the Denver Nuggets. He’s averaging career-highs in points (23) and assists (7) to go with 9.3 rebounds, so he’s due for a bounce-back performance tonight.

Sengun has averaged 38.2 PRA at home and 40.2 on the road. He’s hit the Over in 13 of 23 games, including a 28/10/3 line against the Sacramento Kings on December 3. He averaged 47.2 PRA in five games prior to Saturday’s stinker, going for at least 40 PRA in all of them.

The Kings have allowed the fifth-most points, fifth-most rebounds, and fifth-most assists to opponents this season, and without Domantas Sabonis, Sacramento’s frontcourt defense will be even more vulnerable.

I expect Sengun to post strong numbers tonight, and I’ll take the Over on this combo line.

Rockets vs Kings same-game parlay

It's tough to spot a team 12 points on the road on the second leg of a back-to-back set, but the last place Kings have been so bad that I'll take the Houston Rockets in my SGP.

The Kings are 1-8 ATS as the home underdog this season, and the Rockets are 7-5 as the road favorite. Sacramento will be without Sabonis and Zach LaVine, making this an even better matchup for Houston.

The Kings have hit the Over in just three of their last 10 games and in 12 of 28 games on the season. Houston, however, has hit the Over in 15 of 25 games, including nine of 12 as the road favorite.

Season trends lean slightly to the Under, but this is such a low point total that I'm taking the Over, as Sacramento's defense has no answer for Houston's offense.
