Mets vs Phillies best bet analysis

The wind is forecast to be blowing out at Citizens Bank Park tonight, and the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies have already combined for 27 runs through two games.

Phillies lefty Jesus Luzardo sports an underwhelming 4.41 ERA and 1.43 WHIP, and he’s also been touched up of late with 28 earned runs allowed across 23 2/3 innings over his past five starts.

Flipping to the Mets southpaw David Peterson; while he’s been sneaky good, he’s outpitched his underlying numbers with his 2.60 ERA below both his 3.45 xFIP and 3.72 xERA.

Additionally, both clubs send solid lineups to the dish. Philly ranks ninth in wRC+ against lefties, while New York is 12th.

Mets vs Phillies same-game parlay analysis

Even with the noted likely negative regression coming for Peterson, he’s still topped out with three earned runs allowed in a start all season, and he’s allowed two or fewer in 10 and 14. I’m anticipating Peterson holding the Philly lineup in check enough for the New York bats to lead the way to victory.

The Mets had an unsustainably low .266 wOBA and .103 ISO during their seven-game losing streak, so breaking out at the dish for 11 runs on Saturday projects as a sign of things to come.

Turning to the final leg of this SGP, Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber has been excellent against lefties despite not owning the traditional handedness advantage with a .379 wOBA, .249 ISO, and .875 OPS over the past three years. He’s cleared the total in this market in seven of his past 10 contests, too.
