HR picks for May 31

Shohei Ohtani (+155 at DraftKings)

Shohei Ohtani is doing Shohei Ohtani things once again in 2025. The superstar, who's likely on his way to another NL MVP, is hitting .294 with an MLB-best 22 home runs and 37 RBI. He's red-hot at the moment, clubbing five bombs in his last five games.

As previously mentioned, he left the yard twice in the series opener against the Yankees on Friday as the Dodgers won 8-5. Ohtani thrives at home with 12 homers at Dodger Stadium, and he’s also destroying right-handers with 18 long balls.

The Yankees send Will Warren to the mound tonight, and although Ohtani has never faced him before, he's a righty. He’s also allowed four home runs this season.

Corbin Carroll (+300 at DraftKings)

Corbin Carroll may not be the biggest guy, but he has serious pop in his bat. The Arizona Diamondbacks star is batting .258 with 16 homers and 35 RBI. He’s also slugging .559, which is a career-high at the moment.

The outfielder will like tonight’s matchup. The Nationals hand Mike Soroka the ball, who has struggled with an ERA well over 5.00. He’s also been prone to the homer, surrendering five bombs in only five starts. Carroll has an impressive track record against Soroka, too.

While it’s a small sample size, Carroll is 1-for-2 with a HR. Thirteen of his long balls have come against right-handed hurlers, and Carroll has one bomb in his last three games.

Aaron Judge (+130 at DraftKings)

There’s only two players in the big leagues with home run odds this low — Ohtani and Judge. The reigning AL MVP is also dominating, batting .392 with 19 bombs and 48 RBI. By no surprise, he stepped up in the opener against L.A., leaving Dodger Stadium. He finished 2-for-5 on the night.

Judge thrives on the road, hitting .416 compared to .364 at home. He’ll face Landon Knack tonight, and although he’s 0-for-2 lifetime, Knack has given up six home runs in only seven appearances this season.

The statistic that stands out the most? Judge has nine bombs in only 11 career regular-season games against the Dodgers while batting .390. The slugger always shows up when he takes on L.A.. Expect him to rake again and potentially go deep for a second consecutive matchup.

  1. Juan Soto Mets (+550)
  2. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Blue Jays (+390)
  3. Shohei Ohtani Dodgers (+155)
