Blue Jays vs Dodgers Game 5 predictions
Who will win Blue Jays vs Dodgers Game 5
This has been a back-and-forth series, and I’m anticipating it continuing with the Dodgers rallying behind a strong showing from veteran Blake Snell. On the flip side, the Los Angeles lineup is set to tee off on struggling Toronto rookie Trey Yesavage in his first career postseason road start.
Blue Jays vs Dodgers best bet
Dodgers -1.5 run line (+100)
Toronto Blue Jays rookie Trey Yesavage hasn’t been sharp across his past three postseason starts with a 5.93 ERA, and he’s walked nine batters across just 13 2/3 innings.
The Los Angeles Dodgers will also be facing him for the second time in the series, and Yesavage will be pitching on the road for the first time during the playoffs.
While Los Angeles lefty Blake Snell was touched up for the first time in four playoff starts in Game 1, he did navigate the Toronto lineup through five innings and held the Blue Jays to two runs.
Obviously, Toronto blew the doors open with the nine-run sixth inning in the series opener, with three more being charged to the veteran southpaw.
Still, I’m just anticipating Snell turning in another solid outing at Dodger Stadium, where he posted a 1.17 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and 3.44 xFIP while holding opposing hitters to a minuscule .188 batting average and .257 wOBA during the regular season.
Additionally, Los Angeles has a splash of statistical correction coming at the dish. The Dodgers have a solid 39.7% hard-hit rate through four games, but just a .239 BABIP. For comparison, Toronto sports 33.3% and .300 marks, respectively.
Blue Jays vs Dodgers Game 5 same-game parlay (SGP)
There hasn’t been a shortage of offense during this series, and it isn’t surprising given these are two elite and deep lineups. As discussed, I’m expecting Yesavage to have some struggles on the mound, and there have already been 40 runs through the first four games.
I also expect the Blue Jays to chip in enough to send this total Over the number.
Toronto star Bo Bichette has left his mark on the series with timely hitting, going 4-for-11 at the dish, and he posted an excellent .308 batting average against lefties during the regular season.

Blue Jays vs Dodgers home run pick for Game 5

Blue Jays vs Dodgers latest injuries
George Springer is day-to-day with right-side discomfort after exiting Game 3. He sat out Game 4 but remained on Toronto’s World Series roster, signaling optimism he could return.
Manager John Schneider described Springer as “hour-to-hour” and said he was able to swing today, noting improvement. MLB.com’s Game 5 FAQ suggests a return is likelier in Game 6 after tomorrow’s off day, though availability tonight hasn’t been ruled out.
Blue Jays vs Dodgers weather
Expect a warm, dry evening at Dodger Stadium. Temperatures are projected near the mid-80s °F around first pitch, easing into the upper-70s by mid-evening and settling in the low-to-mid-70s late. Skies should stay clear throughout, so no precipitation or visibility issues are anticipated.
These conditions generally tilt a bit toward offense: warmer, less-dense air helps the ball carry, so well-struck fly balls have a better chance to travel. Pitchers who rely on sharp break may see slightly “flatter” movement early when it’s warmest, while late-inning relievers could benefit as the air cools a touch. The consistent, dry setup also favors clean fielding and aggressive baserunning.
Power hitters may get a small boost early, but run environment should normalize toward the late innings as temperatures decrease.
