The Los Angeles Chargers can build momentum as the schedule passes the midway mark in Week 9.

The Bolts are big favorites at Tennessee, coming off a mini bye after last Thursday’s primetime victory.

Here are my early Chargers vs. Titans predictions and NFL picks for November 2.

Chargers vs Titans predictions

Here are our early thoughts on the spread and total for this week’s game. We will have a full game preview (with a best bet and SGP) later in the week.

Early Chargers vs Titans spread pick: Chargers -10.5

-105 at FanDuel

This spread ranges from -9.5 to -10.5 on Monday morning, so if you do like the Los Angeles Chargers, shop around for the best odds. Laying the points with L.A. isn’t so much putting your faith in the Chargers as it is not having any in the Tennessee Titans.

The Titans have been blown away by a combined score of 89-37 over the past three games, including losing 38-14 as 14.5-point underdogs in Week 8. Tennessee is already missing key defenders and watched two more members of this stop unit leave Sunday’s game.

That’s not what you want facing Justin Herbert and an L.A. offense that seems to be finding its footing after some early-season injuries. Los Angeles smashed Minnesota 37-10 last Thursday and ranks as a Top-10 attack over the past three weeks. It’s Bolts or nothing for me.

Early Chargers vs Titans total pick: Over 42.5

-118 at FanDuel

While this Chargers offense has made improvements in the past three weeks, this Titans defense has not. As noted above, Tennessee is hemorrhaging points to recent foes and sits among the bottom in most defensive metrics.

The Titans have been especially susceptible to the passing attack, giving up an average of eight yards per pass attempt to foes in the last three contests. Those rival QBs boasted a passer rating of 122.8, which ranks second-worst among defenses behind only Minnesota, who Herbert just sliced up on TNF.

L.A. is expected to do the lion’s share of the scoring in this matchup, but I could see Tennessee adding to the scoreboard in garbage time. The Titans are aiming to have wideout Calvin Ridley back from injury and managed to put up 341 yards in the loss to Indianapolis with 5.1 yards per play.
