Only one win separates the Green Bay Packers and the Carolina Panthers, but in reality, there’s a world of difference.
The Panthers played the Bills on Sunday and got beaten comfortably, losing by 31 points. That was only their second game against a team that currently has a winning record. The other game came against the Patriots, which saw them lose by 29 points.
The Packers have only had two games with double-digit victories so far, but this a team with real quality.
The offense is stacked with talent (seventh in DVOA), and despite having a lot of injuries in the receiving corps, they keep finding ways to win. The defense is ranked eighth in DVOA, and the pass rush looks hugely improved since the Micah Parsons trade, with the former Cowboy looking like the final piece in the puzzle.
With the Packers on their home field, and facing a Panthers team that's much poorer than its record suggests, we should see the home team cover.
