Ratings for Comedy Central’s “South Park” are up more than 100% since the show’s last full season. The ratings surge has occurred as the animated comedy has focused on mocking Donald Trump and his [pro-fascism regime].

The New York Times reported last month that viewership for “South Park” has more than doubled compared to 2023, the last time the show had a full season of programming.

Fox news has often been accused of using propaganda to influence political beliefs and perception of reality.  Rare for media companies to lose defamation lawsuits but court found Fox news lie repeatedly against Dominion voting machine.  Their mostly right wing viewers tend to be less well informed than people who consume news from a variety of sources.

Somehow the "polls" this poster likes to quote from shows "liberals" label climbed but yet they had 10 million less votes for the POTUS   Some people just don't understand how numbers work. Or they believe polls.

FOX News gaslight?

Fox News pretended that Trump and his tariffs had revived America’s manufacturing sector while Trump was on tour to defend his economic policies.

But the most-recent data shows

that manufacturing employment has declined by 72,000 since Trump announced his sweeping tariffs in April, and multiple industry surveys in recent months show a slowdown in manufacturing sector activity, with many manufacturers directly blaming Trump's tariffs.

Since many industries depend on cheap imports, more jobs could be lost by imposing higher tariffs than could be gained by protecting manufacturing industry.  Trump tariffs failed to boost US manufacturing jobs in 2025.  Economists doubt that his plan can work in the long term.   Nowadays, advanced countries have mostly service economies instead of manufacturing economies.  Biden administration was more successful by subsidizing industries where US can be competitive.
