does WSC really believe the US Forces were not expecting or unprepared that the Iranians would shut down the Strait of Hormuz ? I cannot believe that .

Top generals warned ignorant Trump but he still recklessly pursued Iran war. Dumb to assume Iran would surrender before closing strait of Hurmuz. Now he is begging for help from other countries because US navy capacity is insufficient.

If you dismiss the supposed 'anonymous' sources, you are left with two 'experts'.
Robertson is a well-known reporter that is an anti-Trump guy and has a vested interest in running hit pieces for CNN.
Nance is a well-known anti-Trump guy and works for the two most anti-Trump networks.
So, both of these guys have a vested interest in being anti-Trump and writing pieces and reporting in a way to stir up their viewers.
That is very understandable. They are experts but very anti-Trump. So, both things can be true at the same time.
What is not understandable is to quote just those two knowing that.
If their contention were true it would be very easy to find plenty of neutral, or even pro-Trump experts that would go on the record agreeing with that assessment.
But for a reasonable person to think the folks that have to plan out the strategy and take into account the most obvious concern everyone has in that area about disruption in ship traffic is disingenuous at best.
Absolutely, you can say Trump may not be an expert in the military and regional issues. That is fine.
But to imply none of the folks that were in charge of planning and actions did not know, or plan, for this is in no way true. The threat of attacks and mines and missiles have been discussed for years and years to halt or disrupt ship traffic.
However, a person that is ignorant of these things and that area can easily be deceived into believing that this quite obvious tactic was overlooked.
So, all this type of reporting does is reinforce the thinking of the folks that do not know any better about the area and do not like Trump already.
That is the only purpose(s) that type of 'reporting' serves.

Easy breakdown:
True:
Trump asked allies to help secure the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran’s retaliation has disrupted shipping and challenged U.S. plans.
Escort operations for commercial traffic are not yet fully underway and are complicated by threats, according to industry sources.
Misleading or Opinion:
That the U.S. Navy has no capacity at all — capacity exists, but the mission isn’t fully in place.
That Iran would surrender before threatening Hormuz — available evidence shows they did leverage control instead of surrendering.
That Trump is “begging” reflects personal interpretation of strategic appeals rather than a strictly factual term.

Lets just split this place up, the US will never be united again thanks to the maga love of everything trump, got to love the way Kent. fans came out to watch him cry about Massie . They came out all dolled up in their Racist uniforms and proclaimed "I will not vote for Massie because trump said not to" , I want nothing to do with that mentality. MTG brought it up to divide this country and have to say it was the first thing I ever agreed with her on, can not see this ever being united again after this illegal regime. For sure if it even survives the POS I am sure I will never see a United States again, That is the only legacy Dementia Don will leave. FUCK TRUMP

Europe and Germany (internally) were both way more divided right after WW2 - then you are now - when the time come you just have to end the misery of those that can’t adapt (to an unifying agenda) and ICE etc have to be put to justice - but when that has happened of course you will unite again - with that debt you have - you don’t have much of a choice to be 100% honest (which also were the reason your country borrowed money as a joint venture in the first place)

I did not follow your edict, you do not tell me or anyone else how to interact with you. If you have information to share please do so, if you have a contrarian opinion or disagree with someone then please have that conversation. Telling me or anyone to go and find information YOU request and then report to YOU is nonsense.
I knew your position because it is consistent. You are partisan and reactive to protect Trump and to shade the crap he is responsible for. In this case you are fixated on what the term "unprepared" means rather than asking for clarification OR giving your perspective you just try and fail to tell me what to do and how to interact with you...and that is not conversation or debate or discussion. You likely know my perspective because I clarified and stated it and yet you are fixated on a technicality on the term.
Did CNN report the information? YES they did, I do not care if you want to minimize the reporting or label it as "opinion or misleading", who in this forum would expect you to say or think anything OTHER than what you did? Did CNN report...yeah does Raiders have a retort to minimize or reduce what that means to shield Trump? Of course because that is what you always do.
Did Trump underestimate Hormuz and what Iran would do? I gave my opinion YES and the proof I have is the words from Trump. He had no clue that this would string on as long as it did NOR do I think that Trump would have sloppily handled this if he had any clue that oil would blitz over 100 and that Iran would put mines into the strait. I am not shocked though, his cabinet is a bunch of reality show podcast losers with no experience and no infrastructure. Trump and Petey did and still do overestimate the dominance of US resources and minimize the resolve of the Iranian military and leadership. Trump expected this to be a CIABush style in and out Kuwait deal and it has not gone that way. Petey is so obtuse that he is more fixated on spending millions to splash ribeye and king crab for dinner rather than focus and execute a precise and immediate action. This is what you get when you make decisions based on who LIKES you the most and who sucks up the most rather than who has the actual experience and qualifications to DO the work.
You can shade all day long but unfortunately for you and your side the greatest weakness to defend your partisan position is your LEADER and his big fat mouth, Trump does not understand when to shut up and when to speak and per his own words his cabinet and leadership was not prepared for this and still is not prepared. One thing is for sure Trump will never shut up and is rarely honest or truthful in what he says.

CNN reveals that billions wasted on Iran war could be better spend on healthcare insurance to save thousands of American lives. Apparently, America first is no more than a political slogan for GOP.

@Raiders22
Why does the term "reveal" bother you? It is a descriptive term and you can use several to say the same thing. They disclosed, revealed, opined, reported etc etc etc who cares what the term is?

The more valid question is did you?
CNN is right that the blown billions could be better blown on something that helps citizens that Trump has harmed versus giving Israel their ZION card to destroy their enemies.
So what about the term bothers you exactly?
