You clearly did not pay attention to the timeline of the days events. Obviously, Tuckers clips were doctored and only showed his gullible viewers like yourself the start of the attacks on America. I guess you just put the images and videos of masses of insurrections breaking windows of the building to enter looking to do damage, scaling walls, attacking police officers with American flag poles (ironic), and pepper spray, and engaging in stampedes trouncing officers like a wild bunch of animals. You miss the Capitol Police testimony with Congress regarding January 6th? Sure doesn't sound like they were simply ushering folks in for a tour like Tucker told you.

I agree we need stiff gun laws and restrictions and enforcement. Both are lacking in the U.S. today.
Josh Hawley is demanding the Nashville Christian school shooting be investigated as a federal hate crime. The shooter is dead. Who does he want to charge with the hate crime?
Less than two years ago, Hawley was the only senator to vote against a bill to crack down on hate crimes against Asian Americans during the pandemic.

Yeah, I saw the window breaking while at the same time people were walking through a double door wide open just 5 feet away. And I saw the pepper spray and those few with gas masks.And I heard the president along with many others say 5 officers lost their lives on Jan 6th. Again, no credibility when you have to lie.
Yeah, there was violence. Nothing like labor day weekend when a church was set afire, the whitehouse fence almost knocked down, frozen water bottles pelting police, lasers in the eyes, 150 police officers injured, the president forced into a bunker by secret service. But hey that was alright because it was the president you don't like. I also remember Wisconsin in 2011 when protesters took over the state capitol, did millions in damage, said they were gonna gut the governor's wife like a deer, chased and stoned state senators. Pelosi said; "I am one with the mob, democracy in action." Funny how that works only one way.
And do I support strict gun laws? Yes and No, I say why don't we try enforcement on laws that we have now. Would be a great place to start.

It cracks me up when folks point out children will be in the presence of guns at school if we have armed guards and the same time it's ok for a man dressed as a woman sitdown and interact with them. Back in the 70's I had a policeman in our junior high, no cross dressers teaching though.
But I do believe in more training, better background checks. I personally do not need an assault rifle at this time but I do believe banning them doesn't do much. We never seem to investgate the motives, what drugs are they on, what were the warning signs, etc. Always just the gun, not the person behind it.
Show us the manifesto. What was this former female's motive?? What meds if any was she on?
Seems like the Jan 6th videos, they don't want us to know.
And like Stu said in post #934; I would also ask what else was in that bill. No bill put forth by either side is ever cut and dry. There's always several, often unrelated items hidden in said bill

No problem with January 6th and attempt to overturn the people's choice of a democratic election, but outraged about some random labor day events. Mad at some violence if if it fits the narrative, no problem with political violence in trying to reject our coveted, sacred elections (The key feature of American democracy).
I condemn all forms of violence, you don't.

US isn't the safest country despite having the most well armed population in the world. Columbia university study reveals that many mass shooters have legally purchased guns, no mental illness, no criminal record, and no red flags. That makes gun violence very difficult to prevent. But gun control works better than other methods in reducing violence. Contrary to common beliefs, stricter gun laws don't prevent most law-abiding citizens from getting guns according to Northeastern university study.

What pulls the trigger???.. a finger of a person with some sort of mental issue. That's the problem . Normal everyday people just don't go around shooting and killing innocent people. There is something behind it, substance abuse, depression, victim of abuse or being bullied.. to name a couple. Some of the strictest cities have some serious problems...

A protest goes bad, police barricades are attacked and overrun due to a lack of manpower. Doors and windows broken. People stroll through the halls of congress, they don't destroy it, burn it. They want their voices heard for a legitimate complaint. INSURRECTION IS THE CRY. TRESONISTS!!!
