Yes I am NOT black but I can tell you one thing im not 100% white either...it doesnt really matter though...

I am going to say this one final time. I am not black. I am 100% white. I would be the biggest fraud on covers if I masqueraded as a white man, and was actually black, because I felt it gave more legitimacy to my message given that I was preaching to a larger white gambling community.
Feel free to believe whatever you want about my race. White is white. Period.
Ok, now onto the main point.
Your post is a PERFECT example of dominant group thinking. If you were Black or Hispanic or Middle Eastern or Asian or Indian or Native American etc. in America, your stance would be completely different. That would be because race would be an everyday issue instead of one that is shirked and largely ignored.
Do all the ethnicities named suffer from even mild forms of racism every day? No. But the majority do if they live, work and interact with a white community. And once you deal with a majority, you are dealing with a pertinent issue that must be addressed.
I am Covers resident anti-racist (regardless of how many times I am called 'racist' which is too be expected from angry, petulant, childish posters).
Why did this all start? Why do many of my posts deal with race in the GD forum?
It all happened around 2008. I ONLY posted in the NBA and NFL mains. I got bored one day and came to GD. There were various topics of interest. Unfortunately, scattered amongst were threads that I considered racist. They didn't contain the word 'n*****' nor did they directly call out any minorities. The threads took on a larger more insidious type of racism that subtly implied blacks were inferior to whites; that is, there was a cultural deficiency within their communities of which they were to blame. This has been a long-held stance within the white community and was the basis for everything from segregation to slavery.
Here is an example. A thread will be posted in the GD forums about looting. If blacks participated in the looting, it will be a thread about ONLY black looting. Any whites who participated in the looting will be disregarded. The posters will then make subtle codified comments degrading not only the black looters, but the entire black race.
Now when a white crime is committed (and there are threads about this), the criminals are ALWAYS individuals. Take the terrorism in Norway by Andres Breivik. No one in the media, the white community, right down to the GD forum considered these shootings a 'white crime.'
But Black crime is viewed as a group defect and is placed at the feet of a larger black community 'to clean up their act.'
White crime on the other hand, from the Norway shooting to this hate crime which resulted in a senseless murder:

...is always viewed with 'personal responsibility' that needs to be taken on by the actual perpetrators of the deed but NEVER the white community as a whole! Why? Because they are the dominant group in America and will of course, spin a situation to however it best suits them. Even the global financial crises is considered a 'white collar' crime but the word 'collar' would NEVER be dropped by the main stream media or Marty White on Maple Street.
That is where I come in. And I simply will not allow threads (particularly straightshitters and NJDevils) that hold the entire black community responsible for any and all crimes to remain in the GD forum without a balanced alternative viewpoint.
Now I am not trying to beg to get out of here, or try to coax you into doing so with a explanatory post. I am way above that. I'm telling you that if you want your 'dominant white male group think' to proliferate without a balanced opinion, then feel free to keep me here for eternity.
But know that this is censorship of the worst kind and is cowardice of the highest order. You are white, you are offended by what I say, and therefore you just remove the problem because you can.
I would say it was pathetic if it wasn't so remarkable coming from a so-called 'moderator' of a site that should be little concerned with anything other than making sure touts don't breach mains borders.

During WWII, women infiltrated the workforce as there simply weren't enough men to take on the responsibilities of a nation at war. Their pay and responsibility lead to liberation from the the male in the marriage bond. These commercials in the 50's, not surprisingly, attempted to sell coffee to a male buyer who yearned for the way they saw their mothers treated and would see the brand connected to "putting women in their proper place/getting things back in order."
Surprise! Folgers and Maxwell House still are household names today because of the sexist advertising campaigns that buffered their revenue streams in previous eras.
Imagine if they attempted to sell coffee while promoting women's rights!
Let's just say "The best part of wakin' up" wouldn't be Folders in your cup...

Maybe you and the people you make company with live your lives on a self-interest basis only. If you actually took the time to read about how this country came about, from the "Indian Removal" to forced labor of its citizenry, to slavery, to the subordination and domination of women, to child labor, to forced immigrant labor, to segregation by race and class, to the continued marginalization of those of the Islamic faith in America after 9/11 etc. etc. etc., you'd realize that this country's legacy and history is essential to understanding the structure of society today and how race, creed, gender, and class are dependent on that legacy and history.
Women STILL in 2011, earn 78 cents on the dollar when compared to a man. Imagine that.
Why point that out? Why fight for the rights of others if you have nothing to gain? It's called having a conscience, having empathy, and realizing that you are a part of a larger human community beyond your skin color, class, creed or gender. But to accomplish anything, you must not MUTE yourself with regard to these issues, but make them distinct and relevant by pointing them out.

Scal is obviously black but that's OK. I think Covers is a better place with him here. I don't agree with him on most topics but at least he makes me think for a split second. It's always good to hear from someone that disagrees w/you. Life gets pretty boring when everyone is saying yeah your're right.
My biggest problem w/Scal is he never does anything positive for his race. Even if he helped one black family or child or anything it would be a nice step in the right direction. Scal get involved in some capacity helping your race, by talking about it here is not the answer.
