replacement refs or not at the end of the fuckn day, zebras control every fuckn game!!! which makes it that much harder for us gamblers..you have to be on the right side of the fix...zebras feared for their fuckn lives tonight and got pressured into a bullshit call, don't give a fuck what anyone has to say, this game had fish all over it from the roughing the passer to the PI to the final fuckn play.  VEGAS and the league control these refs who control the fuckn games.

Stromsle, you missing the point. Tate's arm is clearly in between the ball and Jennings's chest. Tate's right hand is on the ball, when they come down. How can you say that Tate doesn't have possession. No one is arguing that Jennings doesn't have possession or even more of possession. They both have it. Simultaneous catch goes to the offense.

this was not a tie ball.  defender clearly had it with tate holding on with one arm trying to grab it..

But only until one foot was down?  Then it was tied up?

Reaching a hand in and touching the ball while another player catches it doesn't give you a share of the pessession of the ball.   "Simultaneous possession" is a term referring to a very rare occurance when it cannot be determined which player caught the ball out of the air.   How often is there a simultaneous posession ruling? and how often do receivers make catches and d players make interceptions when the opposing player gets a hand in and touches the ball.    I can't believe this argument

Having an arm on the ball is not possession. I can't believe there are so many people that can't grasp the rule

Lets be serious Deezy.  Come on.  You cant tell that he has "an arm on the ball".

His hand is not visible.  It is between the chest and the ball.

If you want to make the case that his position wasnt good enough for your definition of possession, that is valid.  But dont tell me that his arm was just touching the ball.

IF this is true, then I concede.

But I havent seen this to be true, and I challenge you to prove it is.  I see Tates hand on the ball the WHOLE TIME.

around the 16 second mark you clearly see Tates right hand come off Jennings ARM (he never had the actual ball) then you see him swipe and try to grab it.

IF this is true, then I concede.

But I havent seen this to be true, and I challenge you to prove it is.  I see Tates hand on the ball the WHOLE TIME.

    WRONG

both NFL Network and ESPN clearly showed replays where Tates right hand/arm is on Jennings arm.

You clearly have not seen a good/any replay of this situation.  You are so far off base it's not even funny.

CD, the picture you had posted was 20-25 seconds after it was ruled a TD. There is no point to the picture. But, Austin has a clear interest in the outcome as does any employee of ESPN. Of course, they are going to say INT. They just get more ratings, web hits, and money from the controversy. No one is going to say that it was a TD for fear of being blackballed in the industry.

    Danny -

That was the argument from post #1.

Welcome to the party.  Glad you are caught up.

Tates hand was between Jennings chest and the ball the whole time.

you guys are really cracking me up tonight.

    Van nobody is attacking you. What you saw on your tv and what jerry austin saw were the same things {he probably also saw even more angles that tv didnt show, but thats beside the point}

lets just say you both saw the exact same replays, how can you sit here and basically say your right and a guy who did this for 25 years is basically wrong?

First of all, to make a case for simultaneous possession you need to be able to say Tate clearly had possession & I don't think you can. In other words, even if therewas no GB guy there at all, would his actions clearly constitute possession of the ball thruout the catch? From what I saw, don't think so but haven't seen on any replay where his other arm was exactly & how much (if anything) it had to do with possible possession. From my vantage, gotta agree with Stromisle - wasn't a question of simultaneous possession to whatever degree from each guy imo... Jennings is the only 1 who had it & Tate never did.

So if Tate didn't have any hands on the ball then why didn't Jennings just roll away with the ball?

     It's over........let it go

Huh?  I don't even get what you are saying.  Having one hand, arm, foot or whatever on the ball while the other player has established sole possession with two hands possession of the ball against his chest does not mean dual possession.  It's clear you don't understand the rules of possession that's y you can't grasp this.  Or you are just argumentative.  One of the two
