TB/BREW live in game comments welcome

about half hour early but maybe few comments prior as well   ... torn a bit ..guess hope for 7 games.. like both teams ... no preflop bet here

what the heck gonna root for tampa bay .... likely need to win game 1 to make it a series... go TB

Let's try Rays ml +157

Let's see if Rays play better than the COVID World series they were a part of

as for fans... its mrusso tb versus hank (deano) brew ...

shit he smashed it...but no luck... double play... was hoping for some runs...

That top of the 1st did not inspire confidence for those of us backing the home team. Two hits and two loud outs off of Jacob Misiorowski (the second one resulting in a line out double play that quickly extinguished the Rays rally).

2-0 Go Brewers. That place gotta be rocking.

a quick 2 for the brew crew. already feels like things are getting out of hand and nick martinez is put on notice immediately

fly ball off the glove.... then line drive off the glove... BREW off to a hot start... wow ..

Christian Yelich smashed one to deep right center that center fielder Jonny DeLuca just missed catching after an all-out dive. The ball rolled away while Jackson Chourio trucked all the way from 1st to open the scoring in the 2026 World Series.

Chourio got smoked

@MrBator

 Very well written summary. I thought deluca was going to come up with that ball.

It did look like DeLuca was going to make the sensational diving catch to get the Series started right for the Rays defensively. That was an enormous play that barely went in favor of the Brewers.

In Game 1 vs. the Padres, Misiorowski was up to 58 pitches after only two innings. It was even worse after two innings vs. the Dodgers when he had already thrown 63 pitches. But tonight, he needed only 22 to get through the first two innings vs. the Rays.

Mitchell returns the favor.

Rays starter Nick Martinez has settled down since giving up the back-to-back hits that resulted in the Brewers’ two runs. He’s retired 11 of the last 12 batters.

Victor Mesa, Jr. just made the curious decision to try and steal 3rd when the dangerous Yandy Diaz was at the plate batting with two outs. William Contreras gunned him down as Brewers 1st 5 backers across the land breathed a sigh of relief.
