I mean look at half of the fans you see watching a game.. Look at how crazy the fans are.. Painting their faces rioting.. How bright do you think the average fan is? You see this every sunday.. If you look at soccer players from around the globe.. They find every way they can to fix a match.. Because they don't make alot of money, half of those players might get away with long lines at the grocery stores... They have families to feed too... Charles barkley publicly stated that if someone offered him 20 million in college to take riods,, he would... Now ask yourself this.. Would you? What would these college athletes do for a job in the likely event that they don't get into pro?

Hey Kaboons....What ya think of my thoughts on the NYG line??....Public is all over NYG....THEY MIGHT "MIDDLE IT!".....I think NYG go 0-3..The original line had them as 2-3 pt. favorites_NICE SUCKER BET KNOWING PUBLIC WOULD POUND NYG GETTING PTS..AGREE??.Now NYG are slight favorite...-1.....Might even go higher......Think Carolina puts NYG right in the "SHITTER!"....Would love to see it at -2  NYG or so....Then NYG could win by one.....Love CAROLINA.... Now, can't see Pittsburgh going 0-3 though they're terrible, esp.at home....What ya think?....Easy to pick bears to win by 2, the current line, esp.since TENN. beat them in Pittsburgh 2 weeks ago........Let me know!.....LOOKING AT A COUPLE OTHER FISHY ONES!!....My best!

So you're implying Carolina and Pitt are fixed to cover bc the public is on the Giants and Bears.  Am I interpreting that right?  Are you betting those games because the fix is obvious?  Not being sarcastic, but finally, someone talking about week 3 instead of "fixed" games that already happened.  This thread should be picks based on "fishy line" theory.  I wonder what the win percentage would be...

WOW, I'm not going to read this thread, not worth it.  Just read the first few posts...

But the numbers Vegas puts out are done through their computers, numbers, etc, etc...whatever..

Go back 15 years and you will see that lines only come into affect about 18% of the times in NFL games.  Either the dog wins SU or the FAV covers the number.

So under 20%....Vegas dont know garbage!!!

I mean you are not going to put a line out there say Denver -20 first game of the year against Balty are you???  If you did, you could have retired.

I like Carolina, but Carolina still is the publics favorite as a "surprise" playoff team.... Not looking good    Giants finish at the bottom of the division IMO it's time to rotate the fan base from ny to Dallas. Pit takes care of Chicago Monday night. Brownies cover against fan favorite Adrian Peterson. Patriots? So tough bc I'm even convinced they suck so with that knowledge I say the win by dd

money mike, if u want giants to win the division, just put a few million bucks on cowyboys, wash, and philly to win it. LOL

PHil ivey lost a million bucks in 08 taking a bet in vegas and i quote
"lakers or celtics longer in the playoffs"

They both went to the finals and lakers and phil ivey lost

if giants are 0-7 the odds for the other team will change drastically, also lets not forget u need to factor in all the future bets made pre-season and up to the 0-7. the odds would be set up where u still lose.
lets say gmen 0-7 redskins 2-5 cowboys 4-3 philly 5-2

cow and philly would be close to even money.
skins wod be less than 3-1 odds
so any combination u would lose
    future bets suck

if u like betting like i do. pick a game or two a day, and take ur 50/50
once u start to future bet or parlay ya u mite hit a few, but the odds screw u . and who knows if its perfectely "fixed" (i believe it is) but even if its not lets take a look at a 4 game parlay

4 teams to win 100 to win 1000 = horrible odds!

instead bet 100 on team A if they win bet team B 200, IF they win bet team C 400, If they win bet team D 800. If all 4 win u win $1500 50% better than 4 game parlay, if any of these 4 teams loses on these single bets u still lose same initial bet of $100

NEVER HAPPEN!!!....A MEDIOCRE TO "BOTTOM OF THE BARREL TEAM" WILL hardly "ever" WIN 9 IN A ROW....However, it's about the spread....Eh?.....Good teams can win, yet NOT COVER....They win,, the bettor loses, Vegas wins....Here's one I follow a lot----Teams in weeks 2,3 or 4, who are 0-2, 0-3, and hardly ever in week 4, and who are favorites, DO NOT cover at quite a high percentage....If Giants remain favorite, they're 0-2, I'll take Carolina....Regardless now, I',m  still taking Carolina...Also, can't see M. Tomlin and "STEELERS?" losing 3 in a row, especially on PRIME TIME.....Kinda agree on the "BROWNIES!"....Good luck!.....We should start a thread on pro lines...Eh?...Hell, this "sickness" topic got over 10,000 views..Lol!!!!.....Maybe just keep it going!.....What ya think?....My best!!!!

LOL this thread might get taken down. the trick is to see the story ahead of time. for example: when cavs were #1 and bulls just got d rose back and were in the 10th spot. the play last 10 games was bet chicago, bet against toronto, and boom chicago cavs first round match up

tank - i agree, ill be taking steelers. also jaguars team total over 9 1/2 media all over seahawks defense! all they need is a special team td and a long fg and it looks legit

ill see ya on monday see how our conspiracies pan out LOL

I still don't know what you're saying.  So is the line fixed for Carolina to cover against the Giants?  And also Pitt?  You said you like Carolina, is that because the line tells you to like it?  Or is it because you just think they will beat the Giants from a strictly football standpoint?

Just making sure that's what he meant, it was a lot of words just to say that, lol.  Maybe because the reasoning doesn't matter to me as much as the results.  So he likes pitt/carolina but not for football reasons, but because it's fixed to trap people.  Everyone has different ways to cap games, I'm just curious what percentages the "fishy lines" way to cap will hit.

Noob here but figure I'd chime in on this fixed thing.

First off, Vegas doesnt fix much. Maybe a few things perhaps but for the most part, they set the lines.  Now some of those lines are definitely iffy lines. Does that mean theyre fixing it? No! It doesnt. Here's my take on this part: One of those games, the fix will probably be in. Will Veags have a hand in it? I dont think so. What many of you havent mentioned in the 7 pages of posts was that THE PLAYERS, COACHES OR REFS wager on these games. It doesnt take a WHOLE TEAM to fix a game. If the QB is wagering on his own game. A coupe INTS and then come back to lose but cover. A RB gambling on the game fumbles a cpl times to throw the game out of whack. A ref wager on the game one way and throws flags on the opponent just enough to change the momentum in his favor. Many ppl dont think coaches are players wager on a game. Im  sure youve heard of runners right? There's a person each and everyone of you know that you could trust to make a wager for you who wouldnt open their mouth. And just bring you the collections while gettign a 2-5% of the earnings. Prime time games are fixed one way or another. Not every game is fixed. High profiles pretty much are though to some degree.

For instance Sea vs Jax. -19 or 20 pt spread. IF Jax covers this game, you better believe Sea is throwing bones to JAX. They should win out. Blowout with Jax scoring nothing. Or maybe a FG tops. What happens is anyones guess? Anbd anytime you have 2 games where you thik lines are skewed? One of them will cash and other wont. They cant always make everythign obvious. IMO either Jax covers or Oak covers. One of them should cover. The question remains, which one? Oak is a divi rival of Den and even though Den is playing lights out, Its still a rival. Pyton Manning is 43% at home vs Div playing for the Colts. BUT hes around 66% playing monday nights. No one knows when the fix comes, but they do come.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ncy-xrVjccU

PRIME EXAMPLE:  2010 Redskins vs TB

You mean to tell me that Referees, Chain gang, players AND coaches ALL forgot how to COUNT? Wash was supposed to win this game. Lots of money for them to win it. They game them 5 downs to win it. Yes thats right 5 DOWNS!!!!! Tell me garbage isnt fixed.

    good post.
I'd say 50 percent of the games are fixed against the spread

half to make the obvious bet lose
and half to make the person who thinks the game is fixed but isnt fixed lose

So in the end we are all 50/50

We're all 50/50, but the books still win vig, which is their goal.  I said the same way back in this thread.

Oh yeah, clearly, the Cowboys were meant to cover the +3.5, isn't it obvious?

The Cardinals knew they would be down 21-19 and get a TD late in the 4th. Scripted to perfection.

Finally, the Bucs absolutely knew they would return an 85 yard INT for a TD in the 4th to cover the spread. I should have known.

Carolina and GB, I think one fo those teams fall. Both? Not a chance. We have one season to go by for stats vs 2 teams going on their bye week. Yea, making teams go on their bye to vacations ect seem like both teams will throw in the towel to hurry to go on vacation but thats not how it is. Both CAR and GB will be vying for a win before their bye. For sure, one of them wins. I think one covers too. Rvenge games are more favorable to the Home team but only by 1-2% Its a toss up on both those games. (GB vs Cincy and NYG vs Car.) I doubt those are games to be fixed. Look at that Sea and Den game to see some type of screw up. One is bound not to cover. I'd lean Oak over Jax, but I doubt either I'll play. But it wouldnt surprise me to see one of those toilet teams to show up.
